Also, most Vortixx do not wear Kanohi. Though they are physically able to, and can also use their powers, it is not common practice.
I also take issue with his backstory: because even though he is a Vortixx, it assumes he is an alien from another world.
I can understand no to the shadow and am fine without that. The kanohi is uncommon for a Vortixx, but like you said, it is possible. But could you elaborate on why being from an alternate universe is an issue?
it's.... a little strange. I think we should avoid alternate universes, unless we're doing a challenge topic, personally. And another thing: on the subject of Vortixx wearing Kanohi, I find it better to put a soft ban on Kanohi for Vortixx than to end up allowing every single Vortixx in the RP to carry a Kanohi. They can and should be rare among the species, because no Vortixx in canon is seen wearing kanohi, even though they can.

Okay. So do I need to remove the kanohi from him or no? Because I'm not entirely sure what a "soft ban" means. I just figured it would make sense for him to wear a Kanohi which would have given him an edge in coming to power during his backstory. And I guess I can understand why being from an alternate universe is a bit strange. I just figured it be interesting to have LMBE RP Corvus be the same one from the Prime, but at a different point in his lifetime. Although, it's not unheard of for characters to go to alternate dimensions in canon, although most don't usually stay in those dimensions long. And I imagine this RP has a different set of rules than the rest of the LMBE RPs. Is there a topic that outlines the rules? I can't seem to find one.

I'm not entirely sure I think it's a ban that's only enforced most of the time, and ignored sometimes when it makes sense to do so The help topic outlines the rules. Hence, why it is called the help topic
Name: Eviice Species: Skakdi Gender: Apache Attack Helicopter Male Powers: He has the power to manipulate Hau shields similar to hardlight, x-ray vision, and has a somewhat robotic exo-suit with built-in flight capabilities. He carries twin Midak Skyblasters, but can swap them out for Hau-shard gatling guns if the going gets rough. Backstory: While other Skakdi focused on brutal warmongering and fighting, Eviice simply found joy in inventing. Eventually, he got noticed by the OOMN for his achievements and inducted him. Now, he serves as both a medic and a scientist for the Order, though he's not afraid to fight if he needs to.
1. Manipulate Hau shields? That's awfully specific. Please elaborate.
2. Midak skyblasters and any other weapons belong in the weapons field.
1. Basically, instead of just having as a giant bubble, he can morph it into any shape he wishes, such as giving himself what is essentially a Captain America shield made out of the hau shield, creating separate hau bubbles around him, etc.
2. Ah, sorry. I guess I forgot the original format for profiles.

I see no reason why there should be a ban on Vortixx obtaining Kanohi. They are capable, if the owner feels like they should have it, then they have it. Simple.

It's just that... there are psychological factors in the species to consider as well. And the best way to prevent Kanohi from being common is to only allow it in specific circumstances.

1. I'm... not sure how I feel about that.
2. It's on the first page, the first post.
1. I'm fine with nerfing it quite a bit, especially as it was originally balanced according to gen1 standards. Or, I could even scrap it, fine either way.

2. I know, I was just too lazy to check it
1. The Main problem I see with it is that nowhere in the BIONICLE canon is a character shown manipulating hau forcefields to such a degree -- I mean, all the hau can really do is create a shield in front of you, and there's not much evidence to suggest that same kind of shield can be manipulated in any way. 2. No worries, it happens

Psychological factors? Since when has the RP ever adhered to such things? Canonly, very few Makuta were actually traitorous, yet in the RP they were all treacherous scum. And what is the problem with them being common place?

1. Yeah, I guess I did design it in line with the gen1 levels of fanon. I don't think there's a way to rectify it without just giving him a boring ol' Hau shield, so I'm completely fine with scrapping it. Instead, can I have him act like a scientist and gradually come up with little gadgets to add to his arsenal over time.

Because at that point all the Vortixx which are unique suddenly wouldn't be unique.

1. Go for it! It seems like a really neat angle that has gone unexplored with the Skakdi.

Who's to say they need to all be special snowflakes? They aren't. That's a very childish and asinine way of thinking. Such thinking also is contradictory. You were against Makuta Special Powers, because it wasn't "canon"
It was never canon that Vortixx were discourged from it. Canon Vortixx were just too prideful as inviduals. Fanon Vortixx have no such restrictions. Note, how in canon, masks and elemental powers were scarcely used.

There's also the motivation to wear these masks to consider. This Xia doesn't have a man-eating mountain on it. And the MU is in a peaceful state, despite their weapons manufacturing.
