IC: With Bliston having just accomplished the Sabretoothes' goal of trapping King Lycor and his small contingent inside the Temple, the group of Hunters attacking the gate fall back into Temple, some using ice and the remnants of the first barricade to block up most of the doorway whilst the others reinforce the other half of the flanking group and pressing their attack on the surrounded southerners.
Hearing the sound of fighting grow closer, the sabretoothes inside the Throne Room work increasingly faster to excavate the last of the Chi and move it into the tunnel.
The grouo attacking Lyndis, meanwhile, start hurling small explosives into the middle of her squad, hoping to break their formation.
OOC: Lycor figured he'd trap the Sabertoothes in there with him, and the Lions/Bats have fire chi.
IC: With the Sabertoothes now away from the gate, a lion gets up the stairs and pulls the lever, beginning to pull the bridge back.
Inside, the Black Cloud swarms through the hall, flying straight toward the throne room/chi pool. While under the cover of the bats, Lycor and a squad of his lions detach from the rest of his group and head east to the fire chi stores, making it appear like the full group is still following the bats.
Lyndis' squad finally pulls back, barricading themselves inside the fire chi storage room.
Lyn: "Apologies, men. I made a mistake by charging forward, when we should've focused entirely on defending this room. It had been some time since I've commanded troops in battle. Wait... I hear something. Maybe the king is on his way here?"
OOC: Oh, I'm not trapped. I'm almost exactly where I wanted to be.
IC: This group of sabretoothes add more ice to the doorway to delay the southern reinforcements, then focus their full attention on attacking the rear of the Black Cloud.
Inside, the main body of Sabrtoothes pull back to the second barricade, using the fortification to slow the main group of Lions to a halt and focusing their firepower on the Bats flying overhead, whose Fire Chi is likely beginning to weaken due to the ice and Hunter energy that surrounds them as they approach the . centre of the Temple. King Finglor himself stands with a small squad, their backs to the sealed doors of the Throne Room, ready to repel the Bats.
As the last few blocks of ice enter the tunnels, leaving the Sacred Pool bare, the Hunters inside the Throne Room prepare for battle.
Outside the Fire Chi store room, Sabrin's group pull down a nearby statue to use as a battering ram, clustering around the door, but pause and look around as they hear the noise that caught Lyndis' ear.

The Lion reinforcements merge with the squad behind the Black Cloud to fight the Sabertoothes in the hall, as Bats and Scorpions fight together once more, using speedorz as makeshift battering rams on the throne room door.
In the hall leading to the fire chi storeroom, Lycor charges at the Sabertooth group whilst radio-calling his mother with a simple, "I'm here." Lyn's Lions burst through the door and rush out again, sandwiching Sabrin's group between two Lion squads.

OOC: She could try to capture Lyrix, maybe.
IC: The winged lion who'd been spotted above the former battlefield outside now glides above the city, still searching for something. He spots what he's looking for; Galvanor, flying up from the city with four eagles around him. The gryphon, after looking for a second at the armies rushing across the bridge into the temple, shakes his head in annoyance and starts to fly off with his eagle entourage, only to be intercepted by the winged lion, who he narrowly blocks a dagger swing from with his gauntlet.
Galvanor: "Woah! What--?!"
The Eagle King flies backward to avoid another swing. He points a knife-armed gauntlet at the lion.
Galvanor: "And who the he[ck] might you be?!"
Lyrix: "I'm the son of Lycan, and while I don't hold much love for my tribe in its entirety, rest assured I'm going to avenge my father."
Galvanor: "Lycan's son, eh? So you're Lycor's cousin... Man, I just keep coming into conflict with distant relatives, it seems."
Lyrix swoops forward, quickly cutting down an eagle who makes a move to defend his king.
Lyrix: "What do you mean by that?"
Galvanor: "I, too, am a descendant of Lyron. One of his two sons had gone seafaring with a group of lions and eagles, and got stranded on the island that would become the birthplace of the gryphons."
Galvanor dodges again as Lyrix's dagger comes down on another eagle trying to strike him. The two remaining eagles flock to Galvanor's side, readying their melee weapons.
Lyrix: "Thanks for the history lesson, but I'm already used to--"
Galvanor: "To fighting relatives, yeah, yeah. That's the same thing he said."
Lyrix swoops toward his adversaries, determined not to let Galvanor escape alive.

Lyrix duels the two eagles and their gryphon master while pursuing them. They fly around the tallest buildings of the Lion City, swerving around in an attempt to lose Lyrix, but he keeps pace with them all the while. One of the eagles turns abruptly and tries to launch a surprise kick to Lyrix' face, but the lion grabs his adversary's foot, throwing the eagle through the window of a military installation. Fire immediately erupts from the window as the fire chi bombs within the building explode it from the inside. Lyrix keeps moving forward, dodging a spear strike from Galvanor's remaining soldier, the Commander who'd ordered Primordium's retreat. Lyrix quickly gets above the Commander, using one of his fire wings to set the eagle's wings ablaze. As he plummets, though, he unhooks a grapple gun from his belt, and the line wraps around Lyrix' right arm, pulling the lion down with him.
Lyrix: "Augh! Y-you fool! NO--!"
Eagle Commander: "Your Majesty, flee! Hurry--!"
The Commander crashes through the roof of a food stall in the abandoned streets below, and a fiery explosion erupts. Lyrix flies up with a roar, seeing the grapple line hanging below him and burning upward. Lyrix switches his dagger to his left hand and cuts his right arm free of the line even as he soars above the city as fast as he can. The lion gets high above the HQ, only to see that Galvanor is long gone.

OOC: I'm losing track of where everybody is, so I'm going to make a rough map to help us keep track of everything. This only represents the main corridor, not the Throne Room itself and not the smaller battle at the Fire Chi stores.
Key: S = Sabretooths L = Lions C = Bat Cloud W = wall D = doors B = barricade A = other allies of the Lions, principally Scorpions
Map: 1 WDDDDW 2 WSSSSW 3 WCCCCW 4 WSSSSW 5 WBBBBW 6 WLLLLLW 7 WSSSSW 8 WSSSSW 9 WLLLLLW 10 WBLLLBW 11 WL L LW 12 D AA A D 13 WA A A W 14 WBBBAW 15 WAAAAW
Explanation: So, from top to bottom, each line represents: 1. The closed doors to the Throne Room 2. Finglor's squad right up against the doors (which I'll call Sabretooth Group 4) 3. The Black Cloud, who flew over most of the Sabretooths and are attacking their last line of defence 4. The original defending group of Sabretooths, who have been pushed back to the second of the two barricades they built (which I'll call Sabretooth Group 1) 5. The second barricade itself (Barrier 2) 6. The first wave of Lions, who orginally entered with Lycor (Lion Group 1) 7. The group of Sabretooths who used the servants' corridors to attack the Lions from behind (Sabretooth Group 2) 8. The group of Sabretoothes who used the servants' corridors to get behind the lines and attempted to seize the gate before retreating (Sabretooth Group 3) 9. The Lions reinforcements who crossed the bridge after it re-extended (Lion Group 2) 10. The remains of the first barricade (Barrier 1) where Sabretooth Group 1 were fighting Lion Group 1 until Lycor blasted a way through, which the rest of Lion Group 2 are walking through now 11. The rear of Lion Group 2 12/13. Allied Group 1. I've also approximated the servants' doors, which Sabretooth Groups 2 and 3 used a few moves ago, to Line 12. 14. The partial barrier placed at the very entrance by Sabretooth Group 3 to delay Lion Group 2 and Allied Group 1 (Barrier 3) 15. More Allied Scorpions, Gorillas, Lions etc. in the entrance.
Numbers for groups and barriers were assigned based on when they entered the battle rather than in geographic order.
I've left gaps in lines 11-13 to indicate that Barrier 3 is forcing your reinforcements to come in only a few at a time
IC: Sabretooth Group 3 pulls back right against Sabretooth Group 2, fighting back-to-back with them. Sabretooth Group 4, under Finglor's direction, keeps fighting with everything they have to keep the Bats from breaching the doors, using both melée and ranged combat to engaged the lower and upper levels of the cloud, though the doors seem to be weakening from the protracted assault.
* * * Panicking, around 40% of Sabrin's group engage Lycors's men, running forwards so that they have the option of retreating a few paces. The rest swing their battering ram forwards into Lyn's group; a crude weapon, but hefty enough to seriously injure anybody that doesn't dive aside.

As the scattered Imperial forces regroup on ground and in the air, a Sky Scavenger swoops down next to Lyrix after hearing the lion's loud roar. The leopard in the cockpit of the large jet calls out to Lyrix.
Leodus: "Hail, Lyrix."
Lyrix: "WHAT?! What do you want from--?! Hey wait, how do you know me?"
Leodus: "You're Lycor's cousin, correct? I am King Leodus, a friend of Lycor's. I see your transformation into an ice hunter has been reversed, and what's more, you've found a Fire Wing Harness."
Lyrix: "Found... yeah. I found this, of course, yes! Anyway, sorry to cut this talk short, Your Majesty, but I've got places to be."
Leodus: "Wait! Those wings would be immensely useful for fighting back the Sabertoothes in the castle."
Lyrix: "Ah, so that's what's going on in there. Well I hate to break it to you, but I really don't give a da[rn] about this castle. I came here to avenge my father, but Galvanor slipped away like the slime he is. I need to get to Eagle Spire now. Doesn't affect me if this whole city becomes a glacier."
Leodus: "Does it though? It's not just about the castle, or the city. If the Ice Hunters manage to maintain control over the chi falls and the chi pool, Chima will be deprived of its life-giving water once again, which is bad for everyone in the south. Surely there must be someone you're loyal to, if not a faction. Just one person?"
Lyrix: "Well... I guess there is, now. Ugh, what is this feeling? Loyalty to someone else? ...Disgusting. Weak."
Leodus: "You're just not used to it. But you don't want that person to suffer along with the rest of Chima, right? I implore you, use those wings you were destined to wear, to prevent the chi from being frozen."
Lyrix: "Fine. Hopefully that person doesn't stab me in the back."
Leodus mutters as Lyrix soars back into the city: "Trust issues, most unfortunate. I know that feeling all too well."

OOC: batonmaster500 you could say that the lion on the battering ram was Lynna, if you want.
IC: Realizing that they're now being targeted anyway, the Lions in the hall draw the Sabertoothes' firepower to them so the Bats can fully focus on breaking through the doors. The Bats finally smash the throne room doors open, swarming in, while Sirius' forces, coming up behind the lions, take on a support role; the Scorpions focus on melting free the frozen Lions, and stinging the Sabertoothes in the hall to bring them under the venom's temporary mind control. It's hard for the arachnids to get a clear shot in with all the movement, but they do manage to sting a few enemies here and there.

Lyn's forces run back together from the walls, once again barricading the storeroom door. Two lions turn and enter the room to confront Sabrin, while Lycor continues to push the enemy force into the waiting weapons of Lyn's group.
IC: Sabretooth Groups 2 and 3 attempt to retreat along the corridor, trying to overwhelm Lion Group 1 by any means possible. Any whose Fire Chi has worn out are frozen, whilst they try to get past the others by either smashing them, hurling them aside into the walls, pushing them over and trampling them underfoot, or simply driving them right back against Barrier 2 and the weapons of Sabretooth Group 1.
The doors of the Throne Room are now trembling, as if whatever makeshift barrier or rubble the Sabretoothes have placed behind them is on the point of giving way.
*** As the Lion atop the ram attacks them, the Sabretooths drop it, instead reverting to ordinary weapons. One or two of them engage the lone Lion whilst the others turn to attack Lyn's other soldiers. Sabrin, however, who was near the front of the battering ram, ducks under it as it fallsand darts between the parting halves of Lyn's group, charging into the store room itself.
The second part of Sabrin's group try to hold back Lycor's men as best they can, but are quickly driven back towards the others.
*** Since the situation at the City appears to be under control, most of the Gorilla Army leaves to join the Unichi task force at Black Fang Mountain. A small rearguard stays behind on the plain sto salvage the mechs and landcruisers that were damaged and to wait for the group that went into the city.

IC: As the Black Cloud sweeps into the Throne Room, the Sabretoothes within attack in a semicircular formation, bombarding them head-on and from both sides at once. Sabretooth Group 4 turn as the Bats fly over them, attacking the cloud from below and behind.
Sabretooth Group 1 suddenly withdraws from the barricade, slamming their shields together into a defensive wall and rapidly marching backwards in unison. Sabretooth Groups 2 and 3 now fully press their attack on the remaining members of Lion Group 1, driving them back into and over the barricade towards the Throne Room.
As the battle in the corridor moves further into the Temple, a Raven Report camera crew flutter through the outer doors to observe it from midair.

Sabrin acts swiftly, raising his sidearm and firing an icy blast at the NPC Lion before darting at Lynna with his sword.
