As the battle rages outside and above the city, with the critically outnumbered Lions locked in combat with the Primordium armies, it is unlikely that anybody would hear a tiny scuffling sound in the Throne Room. Any civilians sheltering in the Temple of Chi would notice, however, when the mighty waterfall that flows into the room turns to solid ice.
The frozen chi-water shatters outwards, sending tiny shards spraying everywhere. Finglor, King of the Sabretooth Tigers, Lord of Sabre Mountain, Commander of the Legions of the North, Shield of Scarfell and the Vengeance of Argennville, strides into the innermost sanctum of the tribe he so detests, dozens of warriors streaming in after him.
Sabretooth warriors, coming from behind the Temple, somehow bypassing every layer of defence to emerge with the heart of the Temple. King Finglor walks directly into the Sacred Pool, its water turning solid and opaque beneath him as he barks orders to his warriors.
"Freeze every Lion in this building! Captain, find their Fire Chi storage depot, and blast it into oblivion! You four, brace those doors! Everyone else, enact the plan!"
Sabretoothes pour out of the Throne Room into the rest of the Temple; some hasten to secure the perimeter, whilst others begin searching for the Lions' Fire Chi stores. Within the main chamber, more Sabretoothes arrive carrying pickaxes and form a ring around the Sacred Pool.
*The Phoenix guard the Fire Chi stores. Drop bombs on the Sabretooth tigers.*
OOC: The Phoenix are outside the temple, and aren't on the Lions' side.

On the wall, Lycor's radio at his hip gets a call as he continues to fight Galvanor.
Lycor, while still fighting, says to the lion on the radio: "You may speak."
Lion: "Your Highness, the Sabertoothes have launched a surprise attack from behind! They've breached the temple!"
Lycor: "So that's how it is..."
Lycor looks up to see Leopard and Bear forces approaching from the north and east, respectively.
Lycor: "I'll deal with you later, Galvanor."
Lycor dodges a gauntlet swing from the gryphon, and delivers a roundhouse kick to his enemy's jaw, sending Galvanor rolling across the wall. Galvanor looks around, seeing Leopard Mobile Commands and Rumble Bears ramming through Wolf vehicles on the ground, as fire chi transformed and Leopard-piloted Vulture aircraft swarm into the fray, aiding the Lion Air Force against the Phoenix and Eagles.

The group of Sabretoothes go into a u-formation; Sabrin, in the centre, tries to cut his way through the guards to attack Lyndis, whilst the two flanks drive forwards, staying close to the wall on either side of the storeroom door, hoping to push the lions away from the door and thereby surround them.
The Sabretoothes sent to secure the Temple meet Lycor at the outer doorway; aiming their pulsors down, they create a large lump of ice on the ground. When the Lions Fire Chi melts the ice, the ground beneath them is suddenly awash with water; any that continue charging are all but guaranteed to slip and fall to the ground; the only safe way of continuing is to slow down and move carefully.
Within the Temple, Finglor directs his guards to use explosives and ice to bring down the ancient statues that line the hallway. Two of them are dragged into the Throne Room are used to barricade the doors from within, whilst the others are used to form two barricades of stone and ice, cutting the hallway into three sections.
**** On the ground, the Gorilla mechs and landcruisers are now entangled with the Primordium ground forces, whilst the infantry behind them stick together in ordered ranks, trying to push their enemies slowly backwards and pin them against the city walls. "Find me Lobo!" Gorvan booms into his radio, spearheading the attack in his mech, eyes constantly searching for the Wolf leader.
In the skies, where the Eagles' and Phoenix' Skyborn talents mean Primordium still holds the advantage despite the two sides now being roughly equal in number, Air Marshall Griselda directs the Gorilla Air Force to avoid dogfighting with the enemy; instead, their squadrons remain in formation, using their combined firepower to punch holes in the swarm of enemy craft and darting through them, then beginning to form a ring of demarcation around Mount Cavora.
A moment or two after the initial Gorilla attack, multiple bomber wings join the battle. Moving in erratic zigzag manoeuvres, they fly low beneath the aerial confrontation and rain explosives down on the Wolves.

If I may ask for a favor, focus on defending the falls."
Rex: "Right, but what if Primordium takes Cavora?"
Lycor: "Certainly wouldn't be as bad as the Sabertoothes freezing it while we run out of fire chi. For now, ignore the political threat, in favor of the existential one."
Rex: "...I suppose you're right. Yes, the Bats will defend the chi falls."
Acting on the Lion King's suggestion, Rex flies out of the embassy after blasting away some eagles with a fire chi enhanced caw. The raven takes half of the bats on Cavora down to the chi falls, where they surround the natural basin above the Temple with a circle of Wing Strikers, and unfreeze the falls (if they got frozen).

Lycor's tactic succesfully scatters the first wave of defence; the Sabretooths hastily fall back to the first of the barricades established in the main corridor, clambering over it through a slightly lower section at one end, which they seal behind them by fusing several shields and small pieces of stone together with ice.
The Sabretoothes then turn their attention back to the Lions, using pulsors and crossbows to bombard the stretch of corridor between the outer doorway and the first barricade.
Within the Throne Room, which is deep enough inside the Temple to be unaffected by the Bats' unfreezing of the upper Falls, Sabretoothes continue to cut the frozen waters of the Sacred Pool into blocks and start passing them back into their tunnel.

OOC: Sure. Make a profile for her first.
IC: With the Lions, Leopards, Bats, Bears, Gorillas, and Scorpions fighting together, the Primordium tribes are outnumbered three to six. With the Eagles in and around Cavora now dealt with by the Bats, the Phoenix above the city being bombarded by the Bats, Leopards and Gorillas, and the Wolf ground forces being surrounded on all sides by the Bears, Scorpions, Lions and Gorillas, the tables have been turned.
Galvanor: "Urgh! Maybe I've no choice but to retre--"
The gryphon sees something suddenly zooming down toward him, and quickly dodges. Bliston alights next to Lycor, having jumped out of one of the Bat Javelin's cockpits.
Lycor: "King Bliston, you're here to lend your strength?"
Bliston: "That I am. I should've taken Lycan's warning about you to heart, Erdrik, or should I say Galvanor. He was right about you all along."
Galvanor: "He was not! I only wish to save Chima from the Manta Ray Empire, a real threat! Lycan used me as a scapegoat to rally everyone against, and his obsession with exposing my necessary disguise lead to his undoing!"
Bliston: "And yet... The fact that you were the one to end him proved his point."
Bliston spins his fired-up ax, and leaps at Galvanor with Lycor. The gryphon blocks both of their weapons simultaneously with his gauntlets.
Galvanor: "Honestly, I'm baffled that you didn't ally with me, King Bliston. We want the same thing!"
Bliston dodges a swing from Galvanor, and swings his ax, shattering the knife that was currently "deployed" in Galvanor's right gauntlet. Another knife protrudes to take its place.
Bliston: "No. You exposed your inner thoughts through your speech, without realizing it. I want to defend the mainland from the Mantas' possible invasion, and have been taking steps to prepare, in case. You want to use the tribes of Chima to attack and destroy the Mantas for revenge. We are not the same."

Outside the city, the Gorillas keep fighting, focusing primarily on locating Lobo.

Within the Throne Room, more than half of the Sacred Pool is empty, its frozen water - and the many Chi orbs within - being passed steadily down the tunnel, whilst the axemen continue splitting the remainder of the Chi-ice into blocks and lifting it out of the pool.
In the outer corridor, meanwhile, the Sabretoothes' spring their trap at last. While Lycor, Bliston and Galnvanor focusing on each other, and small force of Lion Guards are trying the break through the barricade, smaller doorways open in the walls of the corridor close to the outer gateway. Dozens of Sabretoothes, having moved through servants' corridors rather than the main passage, now stream out from both sides in an unexpected pincer manoeuvre. In this way, the Lions sent to retake the Temple suddenly find themselves surrounded, under attack from both the front and the rear. Around half of the Sabretooth detactchment in the flanking group focus on attacking the trapped Lions, whilst the others charge towards the ancient Lion Gate, moving to seal it from behind and prevent any reinforcements from entering the Temple.
OOC: Should I make Lioness soldier and add her to the action? =P

IC: *Needless to say, Brakket keeps piloting the Bat Javelin and fighting the Phoenix and Eagles. (or doing something else if Bliston left him with a different mission.)* =P
