"Things must be REALLY bad if she said that. Hold on." As he walked across the room to a shelf. As he walked Gil said.
"But why are you trusting them, AJ? They're traitors! And what the brick is this operation?"
"No we were framed!" Ambc interjected.
AJ pulled the shelf out from the wall, behind it stood a hand scanner. He scanned his hand, and a door opened. He pulled out a small device and walked back towards the other users. As he was doing this he said,
"Relax Gil, if they knew about this Coco must have informed them. These users are the key to saving the boards-... I'm sorry, w..why do you have Jay in a headlock?..."
Ambc let go of her and quickly said: "Oh, sorry! I couldn't have you call security. Plus Coco wanted you here too."
"You better have a good reason for, quite literally, dragging me down here." Jay remarked, still confused on what just happened.
"Oh trust me, it will be worth it." Ambc replied.
That's when AJ hit a small button on the device and it turned on, asking for a password. AJ turned of the lights in the room and said,
"Security bypass code: AJ Delta One." The device made a quick noise and then projected an image in the air.
All the users stood in shock, listening to the message.
The room was dark, except for the holographic image: an image of Cocodeville. The image began to speak,
"If you're watching this now that means Glitch had gained the upperhand, and the boards are at risk. Each of you have been specifically chosen for this task, and it's up to you to save us all. Your mission is to break into the Glitch's fortress, formerly TTTM, and hack into the main computer. Once that's complete you use the flashdrive that AJ has in his possession to insert a Virus. This should be able to cure the effects of the glitching, and render Glitch helpless. You have each been assigned a different role in the team, and you must work together to succeed. MasterOshawott will be the Mission Leader: she will oversee the operation and lead you to your goal. JayZX will be Weapons Specialist, and will help with security, coverfire, etc. Ambc will be the team's Runner, and will be specializing in tactical, climbing, creating diversions, etc. Lastly NinjagoGeekMan will be the group's Engineer, he will be in charge of bypassing security controls and planting the virus in the database. You will all be equipped with weapons and gear, but you must start your mission soon. Time is of the essence, I wish you good luck, our future is in your hands."
And with that the image shut off and AJ turned on the lights. AJ walked opened a small compartment on the projector and pulled out a small flashdrive. He handed it to NGM as he began talking.
"We will be in contact with you from the command center, Egor is the cheif there and he happens to be on our side. He has allowed us to use the communication center for the mission. Now if you'll come with me, it's time to get your gear."
Each user was separated and briefed on the specifics of their role in the plan. Afterward they were taken to get their gear and supplies. Within thirty minutes the group of four were standing together, preparing to leave. They each wore all black, with backpacks carrying supplies and twin ban guns. Jay also had a ban rifle strapped on her back, and a small pouch of stun grenades. AJ spoke quickly before opening the Tech Lab door.
"So far security hasn't noticed your absence yet, and we'd like to keep it that way. You could sneak out the emergency exit, there aren't any guards stationed near it."
The team nodded in agreement and followed AJ toward the exit. He wished them good luck as they returned to the junkyard. After taking a quick glance at the cloudy sky, the friends began their journey. They had walked for miles and each of them were exhausted by the time they had reached the edge of the LEGO General Forum. By know the sun had set and it was almost to dark to see. Jay and NGM both collapsed when they stopped. Ambc started looking through one of the backpacks while MO walked toward the edge of the forum. She stopped at the edge and looked down at the Help and Suggestions forum below. The forum was rocky near the edge, but most of it was covered by a large green valley, with TTTM sitting in the middle.
The only problem was: The two forums were separated by a large cliff, LEGO general having the high ground.
"Just a forty foot cliff, no problem at all..." Stated MO, with a hint of sarcasm in her voice.
NGM moaned still lying on the ground, while Jay stood up and walked toward MO.
"Forty feet!?" She asked MO. They both stood there looking over the edge when Ambc spoke up.
"We can get down, but we'll need to work together. "
"I thought you said this would be easy!" Yelled Geek (Who was currently harnessed to a rope, trying the belay down the side of the cliff.) He walked one foot after the other down the wall, hanging almost vertically.
"I never said it would be easy, I said we'd have to work together!" Ambc replied, beginning to climb down as well. "All four of us are connected by our harnesses, so you can use the stability of the other three to balance. Just try not to slip, if you go out of control it could pull the other three down the mountain with you."
"Your not helping!" NGM yelled back. While the two were talking MO began climbing down as well. She took a deep breath as she began walking backwards. The climb itself was too difficult, just nerve racking. Honestly it would be much more difficult if they we're climbing up it. After she had gone about ten feet she watched Jay climb over the side and begin climbing down as well.
There were a couple of close calls, but the farther the group went the better they got. After a few minutes they reached the ground.
"Unclip your harness from the rope, but don't take the harness off. It will be quicker that way." Said Ambc
The four users ran through the trees until the reached the valley where TTTM stood. What they saw was sickening. Only about 100 users were left against thousands of glitched soldiers. Whoever had been posing as Dwarfy had abandoned them to command their enemy and was know banning or glitching each and every one of them. Rubble laid everywhere, signs of war. The Boards had been turned into a battlefield, and innocent users were suffering. Not being able to watch any longer, Ambc tried to run and help them, but NGM blocked the path.
"I know, I want to help too, but let's face it, it wouldn't make a difference. The only way we can help them is this." He said, holding up the flashdrive. Ambc sighed, but left with the rest of the group.
The group of four hid in the trees reviewing the next step of the plan. They were not far from TTTM, which had changed to a full battle fortress. It was almost too dark to see now, and what little light the moon gave was being covered by large dark clouds.
"Ok so what's the plan for getting in?" Jay asked.
"Well, we obviously can't just waltz in the front gate, but there is a way we could get in on the side. The are multiple hidden access tunnels hidden under the base in case of an emergency. The Mod's haven't used them in years and from what we know Glitch is completely ignorant of their existence. They can lead to almost every room in the base and we should be able to access them easily." MasterOshawott replied.
"Well let's go then." Ambc added.
The ran through the trees, attempting to stay in the shadows until they reached to side of TTTM. There were guards stationed on the roof above along with towers at the corners of the building.
"Travel in shadows!" Whispered MO as she sarted off into the darkness. The four split up and found ways to silently travel past the guards without being noticed. When the four met again the were standing flat against the side of the building while MO looked for an entrance. She waved her hand and signaled for them to come closer. Kneeling down to the ground, she pointed to a grate covering something. Ambc walked to it and pulled it open reveling a ladder down into a hole of darkness.
The team ran through the darkness toward their goal. Water dripped from the ceiling and you could occasionally hear users running on the floor above them. MasterOshawott yelled directions as the group ran.
"Right! Now turn left!"
She continued until Ambc hit a wall.
"OW!" yelled the user, now on the ground. "Brick, that hurt!"
NGM helped Ambc up and asked MO:
"What now? It's a dead end."
MO looked around the tunnel. The only light came from a grate on the ceiling, leading to a hallway in TTTM.
"We're as close to the Main Computer as we can get, we'll have to go up to the hallways."
Jay spoke up next. "Not to put a dent in the plan or anything but isn't the hallway filled with things like, guards and security cameras? I thought were trying to avoid them, not walk straight toward them."
"Jay's got a point, luckily I know how to fix that." NinjagoGeekMan stated, walking toward some piping on the walls. He dug through his backpack pulling out a screwdriver and some other tools. He began opening the piping reveling wires inside. After a few minutes of him working on the wiring NGM finally broke the silence.
"Ok, I've cut all the power to the security cams, we should be able to get through without being noticed. Now all we have to worry about is the guards. Jay, I'm guessing you can handle that?"
"Not a problem, but how do we get in the hallway?" Jay asked. MO pointed to a grate on the ceiling.
"We just have to climb through the grate and we'll be in the hallway." MO stated.
Jay nodded and replied "Sure thing, but I'm going to need a distraction." All the users turned and looked at Ambc.
That's it... I hope ambc returns one day to finish posting this story. It ends on a cliffhanger, very sadly. I had a minor problem with this archive because ambc messed up the numbering starting at chapter 4
