When my troops entered I contested you, that was one of the unoffical rules in the old RP that I thought had caried over and thats why I didn't say anything. I didn't relisze I needed to. Otherwise I would have contested you the day I came in. You don't think 5000 troops just came here for a camping trip do you?

{JAMMERS! -GOOD- ONLY!} So plan. Um.... Sorry I just haven't thought about this one that much. Tuvok has lots of arrchers and shock troops. If you hold a defensive line I should be able to bring a lot of cavalry and destroy him. So plan. Um.... Sorry I just haven't thought about this one that much. {JAMMERS! -GOOD- ONLY!} It's fine, you're fighting more battles than any of us. So let's form a north-south defensive line several miles to the east of Mirkwood, with elves in the right wing of this and Dalians in the left. Archers and SWE (I have 500 SWE, I believe) will remain behind this and give Tuvok's troops a hard time. We'll just hold out in the meantime until your cavalry arrives, and then we'll see what goes from there. Sound good?

Perhaps but people didn't really do that. KitKat what do you think?

KitKat, would you care to clarify? I honestly think we just need a topic containing all the rules of generation/regeneration so we don't have to go through this all the time.

I'll work on one soon.
(Re)Generation stops upon the arrival of an enemy, as does construction and other battle-time stuff. Now, if the newly-arrived army doesn't make any move to actually attack the defender, then you can undo all of that and throw in all of the regeneration and stuff that got missed because of the newly-arrived army. However, it's generally safest to assume that an enemy army that just "arrived" (not passed through) is planning to attack.
Total: 1,350 (2,000 MWE, more or less. I'm too lazy to do the exact calculations right now. )
There is also 500 SWE, consisting of 85 ballistae, 50 mangonels, and 45 scorpions. They are stationed like this (scorpions aiming towards the army's flanks):
S BBBBBBBBBBB S SBBBBBMMMMMMMMBBBBBBBBS S S S S
8legos , mind moving your troops into position in response to this like we discussed?

Hang on, when was the construction-stopping rule introduced? I thought we were using the same rules as the FA RP; generation stopping when the enemy enters, construction stopping when they are close enough to attack.

Okay, let me re-phrase what I said (which is based off of the old LotR RP). When an enemy arrives with the intent to attack, you immediately switch into battle-time (with the arriving army being just barely within sight of the main defending fortification, assuming open visibility). Switching into battle-time forces regeneration to stop (because, obviously, you're not going to be able to train effective soldiers in a matter of minutes). Technically, construction can still continue, but it's going to be so slow (because again, we're talking minutes instead of weeks) that it can generally be considered stopped for the sake of overall progress.
