Central Mirkwood is a dark and mysterious place. Heavily wooded, little sunlight touches the ground below, and little interrupts the silence over it. No other features have been given to this land. Simply put, it's a thick forest.
It borders the Mirwood HQ to the north at the Old Forest Road, West Rhovanion to the east, Dol Guldur HQ to the south, and the Vales of the Anduin to the west.
S = Swordsmen P = Spearmen M = Maethyr I-Thewair R = Reserve forces A = Arandond [] = Right Wing {} = Left Wing
The swordsmen are in a shield wall (though due to the terrain trees often complete parts of the irregular formation), spearmen right next to them with their spears at the ready. The Maethyr I-Thewair are behind this rank. Archers and Warders are both behind the formation and in the trees above/around it. Hir-E-Ech, Hir-E-Lang, and Hir-E-Beng are in the formation with their respective troops. Arandond are around twenty feet behind the front formation. Said formation is at the bottom of a small rise (not quite a hill), while reserves are near the top of this.
Front formation: 5,105 units (125 Hir-E-Ech, 1,500 Swordsmen, 125 Hir-E-Lang, 750 Spearmen, 1,000 Maethyr I-Thewair, 80 Hir-E-Beng, 1,000 Archers, 325 Warders, 200 Arandond). Reserve forces: 675 (for each reserve wing: 13 [12] Hir-E-Ech, 125 Swordsmen, 13 [12] Hir-E-Lang, 125 Spearmen, 63 [62] Maethyr I-Thewair). Numbers in brackets are the different numbers for the left wing reserves.

OOC: I believe that covers everything.
IC2: Also, 800 troops leave west.
*As soon as they enter range the crossbowmen launch a volley, the wallers protect them with their shields as they reload*

*As soon as they enter range the crossbowmen launch a volley, the wallers protect them with their shields as they reload*
*The swordsmen behind the first rank bring their shields up at a command as soon as the enemy is visible and form a loose testudo. The Maethyr I-Thewair crouch down behind this. This all occurs within a second. As a result there are only a few losses.*
*Also, as the enemy advances into range, the Warders let go a precise volley before the enemy manages to release their volley. Many of the crossbow orcs fall, as well as a few wallers. After this volley another volley from the Silvan Archers takes out any orcs still unprotected or unaware.*
OOC: And just to clarify, your troops are advancing, correct? Because my troops are stationary right now.

*The crossbowmen fire again as the non ranged melee troops charge at yours*
