That's good, I guess. Not much to adjust to. Ah, very nice. I've always been public schooled my whole life.
Lol, yes. What's your favorite subject at school?
Yep. I guess at the moment it's Artificial Intelligence, but back when I was in elementary, middle, and high school, my favorite subject was science or physics.
(Ooh, what's your character's name? And yeah, that happens to me quite a bit too unfortunately. It happened to my own first name. My parents named me it at a time when it wasn't that popular but now it's like Stephanie in terms of Arabic girl names. Or, well, I take that back, because as common as the name is made out to be I've never actually met a Stephanie personally. I think. )
Ah, alright. And that's cool! What are you getting a degree in, if you don't mind me asking?
Thank you! In all honesty, it wasn't much different. Me and my family have never made a big deal out of birthdays for the most part. And yeah, time was already weird since before quarantine happened, and then it got even weirder, and now.....I don't know what constitutes as time anymore. All the days are the same and they pass so quickly that it's disturbing.
(I picked the name Poki for the name of the creature in my avatar thinking it sounded pretty unique, but overtime I found out there were other things named Poki, so now my creature is mainly called "Poki the Elephant Mouse". Ah, interesting. I suppose over time as more parents name their kids, uncommon names start becoming common. I know a couple Stephanies, though there are probably even more common names, especially names like John or Chris, I know quite a handful of Johns and Chris's. )
Yep. Thanks! I'm working on my Master's in Electrical Engineering. What major would you like to go for in the future?
You're welcome! Ah, I see. I can understand that. My family doesn't do much for birthdays, except that the birthday person picks where to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I can definitely relate. Each day passes trying to figure out what to do for the day and wondering when will it go back to normal, although since it's been 8 months since it started, I guess it almost feels like the new normal.
(Ooh, that's a cool name. If it's assuring at all, I've never heard the name before myself. I think what happened with me was that there was this movie that came out in the late 2000s which was a hit in a lot of Arab countries and it had a main character with my name in it, and thus the amount of namesakes just started to increase exponentially in those countries after that. But honestly as someone who lives in the U.S. where it isn't even all that common, I'm probably being dramatic. )
That's really impressive. I'd wish you the best of luck but I'm certain you won't need it. As for my major....I'm having a hard time sticking to just one so I'm probably going to go for a double major, maybe triple if it's plausible. One of them will definitely be journalism (or perhaps mass communications, the two are quite related after all ) and the other potential ones are stuff along the lines of linguistics, philosophy, psychology, history, or political science. And perhaps a minor in English or creative writing, because I do want to study those too. I honestly don't know. The only thing I'm sure about is the journalism part.
That's cool! And yeah, that's exactly how it feels. Online school has given me some semblance of a routine but I honestly am not enjoying it. I feel like I was a lot more creative and productive when my day was slightly less structured.
I'm covered in the colors pulled apart at the seams~
Thank youuuu, that means a lot. It's still in the works, and I'd give you a link when I'm done, but last I checked we're not allowed to do that on here sadly
Maybe you can make a "flyinggirl4's Academy" topic and wax philosophical there. =P
That's a brilliant idea. I think I'll do that.
