It really is a failure on my part too. I just know she won't appreciate them, so I was waiting so I can show TheSmallCON too. He's gonna have better taste.
Idk, major red flag on that one tbh.
Gotta make sure your heir grows up cultured.
You'd think I'd have caught that one. I was too blinded by love.
Yes. I can weed out a few non-essentials though. There's no need to see Sleeping Beauty.
Luckily I know they are very selective and definitely over-staffed and would never let you in without discovering your true motivation.
Aren't overstaffed anymore, 90% of the staff is gone. You're assuming I don't have an agent on the inside...
No they've just been put into hyper-sleep until a sufficient userbase is established again so they can be reawakened and resume their duties with unflagging energy.
Quick, give me some child-rearing advice so I can back up my claim if they ask!
Uh, umm... Children are fragile. Don't drop them on their heads. When your kids cry, start crying too in order to assert dominance. Buy 12 years worth of poster board now so you don't have to ever worry about being surprised by a last-minute school project. When reading storybooks to kids, don't be afraid to paraphrase or even skip large sections of the book entirely. They can't read so they won't know.
I like that last one a lot. Maybe I'll insert some dinosaurs into each one.
Well, this job has been possibly even more boring, but I'm still working out whether I'm comfortable posting on a LEGO site in view of everybody (including my supervisor).
Do it, assert dominance on those plebeians.
That's what I'm doing right now, with slight misgivings but still fulfilling my job responsibilities to the fullest, so...
No, it's not. Unless you suggesting I'm playing a mind game is part of your mind game . . . Yeah, that's a plausible theory.
That's good. The plan I work at is still in the building phase, so we're all just trying to learn what we can without actually being able to see the equipment.
Okay then...rock paper scissors... Don't read until you've chosen.
That's up to personal opinion. Bionicle's ranking is just objective. I'd say Star Wars and Ninjago though. While I'm not big on collecting either one personally, the impact and iconicness of their brands is undeniable.
Oh okay That makes a lot of sense. I like the Star Wars sets a lot What is your favorite line?
All time non-licensed is Bionicle of course, licensed though would go to Lord of the Rings for me cuz I'm a huge Tolkien fan and have almost all the sets.
I can't believe I had the same awful signature for nearly 8 years. Sorry for disappearing for 2 months, life happened for a bit.
I tend to make so many jokes that go over people's heads.
I always have to remember that people don't have the same weird niche knowledge I do and it's not as funny as I think it will be.
Exactly. Do you ever think about all the phrases, jokes, and ideas you switch around depending on the people you're around and wonder how much of those things are intrinsically related to your personality? Like- how much are you actually shaping and re-shaping bits of your personality for the sake of connecting other people?
That's an interesting thought. I really have to tailor things to certain groups because they just won't really get it.
I was on a voice call on Another Platform the other night in a big group chat and there happens to be another LMB veteran in there with me.
The perfect opportunity came up to say "I like Frodo how's yours?" And we found out after the call we were both thinking it but didn't want to seem weird.

It's a thing I've been developing with some other people for a while now, big writing project sort of thing. Idk what I'm gonna end up doing with it yet though.
Ooooh, sounds cool! I've found that creating boards/picking out visuals can help a lot in cementing creative ideas, even if you don't have the faintest clue regarding the plot or characters at all. It's surprisingly effective. (^,^)
Yeah I have a huge digital pinboard with random ideas and such. It's aesthetically cool but idk how to turn it into A Thing.

Either you got a senior design position at a major game studio as a 10-year-old, or you were a 30-year-old roleplaying dinosaurs with children on the internet. I'm not sure which way I want to decide...
One of those is way more likely.
Unfortunately true, but the other one would be way cooler.
