Uhhhh, say you're looking for child-rearing advice, and that the site is just designed to look very childish because of the advice it offers to parents.
Quick, give me some child-rearing advice so I can back up my claim if they ask!
Uh, umm... Children are fragile. Don't drop them on their heads. When your kids cry, start crying too in order to assert dominance. Buy 12 years worth of poster board now so you don't have to ever worry about being surprised by a last-minute school project. When reading storybooks to kids, don't be afraid to paraphrase or even skip large sections of the book entirely. They can't read so they won't know.
I can't believe I had the same awful signature for nearly 8 years. Sorry for disappearing for 2 months, life happened for a bit.
As you should What is this project board of which you speak?
It's a thing I've been developing with some other people for a while now, big writing project sort of thing. Idk what I'm gonna end up doing with it yet though.

I have such a surrealist sense of humor and I think it came from spending too much time on here.
lol same my social awkwardness may have as well.
Ohh, I can see that - surrealist doesn't always translate well IRL. Come to think of it, I think I often do have to manually set my humor back ten years so as to be on the same page with people I meet, as well as older adults. It's interesting how the internet can feel so all-consuming and seems to speak for all culture, until you're talking to someone for a few minutes and you realize what a small role it plays in other peoples' lives.
I tend to make so many jokes that go over people's heads.
I always have to remember that people don't have the same weird niche knowledge I do and it's not as funny as I think it will be.

There is something about having your parents purchase you Bionicle in years past, and in present day now purchasing the remaining figures of a team yourself.
Like a bittersweet storybook ending.

ooh what team?

That'd be great if you would. That way I wouldn't have to spend weeks sighing and pining for your posts.
Well, this job has been possibly even more boring, but I'm still working out whether I'm comfortable posting on a LEGO site in view of everybody (including my supervisor).
Do it, assert dominance on those plebeians.

Ooooh, sounds cool! I've found that creating boards/picking out visuals can help a lot in cementing creative ideas, even if you don't have the faintest clue regarding the plot or characters at all. It's surprisingly effective. (^,^)

Exactly. Do you ever think about all the phrases, jokes, and ideas you switch around depending on the people you're around and wonder how much of those things are intrinsically related to your personality? Like- how much are you actually shaping and re-shaping bits of your personality for the sake of connecting other people?
I hate to break it to you z-whales, but his outlook sounds more tenable than yours. But still, I wish you best of luck and hope your eyes remain starry.
My eyes may be a bit less starry now, but I still don't have a problem with taking the position. At least, I've been there long enough that I may as well be in the role of "person who knows what they're doing." Someone's gotta do it.
Someone does indeed gotta do it, and it's better if it is someone who actually knows what they're doing. I'm sure they'll appreciate your service.
