Chad Mom behavior Aww, wholesome! and pathetic. What's the thrill of the hunt without the satisfaction of catching and devouring your prey??
I aspire to be as unbiased towards my kids. I don't know how she achieved, I was obviously the worst. That might be why once we got older we weren't as interested. I'd still go all out for an egg hunt if that determined how much candy I got.
Some moms are really good actors See, that's the type of motivation kids need. Teach 'em to hunt their prey and take down anyone who stands in their way. It teaches them to physically ruthless and psychologically great businessmen.
I didn't say they're "that good". I said that they're surprisingly charming and that it's an ethereal experience Thank you, I made it in PowerPoint.
See, you're using longer words that make it seem like I'm missing out on something. I have film FOMO. I have never tapped into PowerPoint's true potential apparently.
Aww, that's so sad! I guess the only way to cure this film FOMO would be to.. watch Barbie and The Twelve Dancing Princesses with me That and iMovie can create some bangers of memes if you're desperate enough.
Honestly though. I finally know what people mean when they say someone is "finding themselves".
Absolutely Though my parents would probably disagree, since they've lived long enough in the tornado area that big trees standing right beside houses isn't a super-good idea. But for aesthetic purposes I'm completely on your side. Ohh, interesting Are you a fan of the minimalist style?
Yeah, definitely. I don't know how the people who don't go to college ever figure out who they are.
I mean, the safest house to have anywhere is a concrete bunker on a paved lot, but sometimes it's worth it for the aesthetic. I would say yes, if not taken to the extreme.
I guess they do it while they're at work, though I feel like it'd be hard to think under the racket of the McDonald’s cash registers beeping.
Good point. Have you seen those videos of moms spray-painting their babies' toys beige and gray so that the colors don't mess with the aesthetic of their house?
Way?? That's actually kind of a flex, nice job. I feel like I gotta try these omelettes now
That'd be fun if you could drag Mrs. Con or TheSmallCon into it, too, once he's old enough. Make a family outing out of it.
I liked it a lot, but there was a bad stigma around working for them. Probably because of all the other people who worked there...the town could be a little rough around the edges. They've never been the same since I stopped cooking them on a giant display flat-top cooking surface.
I got to play some the other night (and both were present).
Ahh gotcha You were probably the most valuable member of the team. They're missing out.
Thank goodness, it didn't. It was a grassy ditch in a suburban area, and my car didn't have a scratch when we pulled her out, though at first I was scared that I'd bent the exterior plating or something. (^,^") Honestly the worst part for me was just the embarrassment and terror that came with telling my dad.
It honestly really is. We're in a very hilly area, and sometimes I wish I could just walk around aimlessly through the trees and hills all day to stare at them all, maybe even do some rough sketches of them. Even in winter with all the brown grass and naked trees, it's beautiful in a quiet, half-dead sort of way. Although this week it's been getting up to sixty degrees and I'm sick of it.
That's lucky. I know what you mean with the embarrassment part, I got the family truck stuck in a ditch trying to get to a work site one time, and there was no bad weather in this instance.
Yeah, I wish I could be outdoors more to appreciate the scenery...and this beautiful weather we're having. I ate lunch in my car all week just to soak up the sunshine.
Oof, that's rough. At least I had the excuse of there being no shoulders on the steep and windy roads.
Ooh, that's a good idea. I've been meaning to eat lunch outside more often as it begins to warm up. During our breaks in painting class last semester, I'd take my burger and fries outside and sit on the hill that gives you a good view of the valley, and it was surprisingly calming. I'd often leave the class feeling incredibly angry and stressed-out, so having that twenty minutes of peace in the grass and sunlight was really nice.
MWAHAHA I mean, nooooo, don't do that, you're so cool hahah
That would suck if you actually went inactive again tbh. I've honestly really enjoyed getting to talk to you these last few months.
I've really enjoyed talking with you too! It's been great catching up with where everybody is at in their lives rn. I'll try to at least log on and let you all know if this isn't going to be doable with the new job.
That'd be great if you would. That way I wouldn't have to spend weeks sighing and pining for your posts.
Indeed they can. Actually, being a mother is a pretty inherently awesome thing. They don't always stay that way, but birthing a child seems to be a pretty remarkable feat.
Lol for real. The more I hear about pregnancy, the more I'm like "mmmmmm no thanks, I'm good. Adoption is great too"
Well RN I got the Lego City Space wave. It's pretty good. $400 well spent to buy all 6 sets lol. I probably won't make any large lego purchases for the next few months. Especially since my birthday is in a month.
Oh cool! That's smart, see if any grandparents will get you the big stuff.
Ok that does make me feel a little better Honestly, lately I've been really liking the idea of having either a European cottage or a large-ish country house, one with a big porch so that neighbors feel comfortable stopping by, and lots of rooms so that you can find a quiet spot to sit and read or drink tea/coffee wherever you are. My parents have always made us live in open-air houses, where you can hear someone's footsteps echo from the from the other end of the house, so I've come to really like the idea of something humble and earnest, with hardwood floors and little happy decorations and mugs of hot drinks in between the books spilling over the shelves... Lemme see if I can share some of the pics from my board, actually.
Stealing pics 2-4 for my project board.
As you should What is this project board of which you speak?
Honestlyyyy... yeah. xDD I've been trying really hard to get into Dickens, since my mother has always spoken so highly of him, but someone said something that I think perfectly encapsulates the experience of the reading the book: "the beginning is interesting, then the next hundred pages are about characters you don't care about, and then it finally goes back to the ones you do care about long after you've forgotten what they were doing in the first place".
The reason is because he was paid by the length of book. Dickens was the original "highschooler trying to double the length of an essay".
Yeah, wasn't he paid by the word? Explains a lot about his descriptive sequences and the long dialogue sections.
Well, maybe you can snatch it while sailing the high seas. It's really good! It's a kids' animated film, but it has a fun art style and really strong and fun punk vibe. The story was kind of predictable, but there was something to earnest about the way it was written that I found myself feeling invested. It's thoroughly enjoyable.
I may have to try. Actually come to think of it I think I read the original comic a long time ago.
Really? I thank this place for helping me develop my sense of humor. And my otherwise lack-luster people skills.
I have such a surrealist sense of humor and I think it came from spending too much time on here.
lol same my social awkwardness may have as well.
Ohh, I can see that - surrealist doesn't always translate well IRL. Come to think of it, I think I often do have to manually set my humor back ten years so as to be on the same page with people I meet, as well as older adults. It's interesting how the internet can feel so all-consuming and seems to speak for all culture, until you're talking to someone for a few minutes and you realize what a small role it plays in other peoples' lives.
