The Xain fights with such fury that the Mornornian finds himself being pushed back as the Xain tries to fight his way out of the room.
"Lead on where? I know as little about the situation inside as you. Perhaps I should have let that soldier live a little longer after all, eh?"
Inside the stable, they find a dragon's head sticking out of the ground. It appears to be what is making the noise. Boomer
Gor'El growls at them, trying to get them to dig him out.
The soldiers look at each other, remembering that one of the prisoners they came to free was a Dragon Rider. They start trying to dig Gor'El out as best they can.

The Morñornian allows himself to be pushed back, retreating into the corridor/hallway, where his companion is standing. The soldier who entered the room retreats in one direction, while the other stands to the other, so that the Xain cannot emerge without being attacked from both sides.
"Perhaps indeed. Now, lay down your arms."
The Xain rushes at them, trying to use the surprise to his advantage.
"Don't be ridiculous. This is a negotiation between equals. Either both sides are armed, or neither are."
Gor'El growls at them, trying to get them to dig him out.

The earth is packed hard and difficult to shift, but not impossible.

They now retreat, trying to get back into the main room where their group can attack from all sides.
"Equals? I do not think so. You are a prisoner of Morñornia."
The Xain pursues them.
"You are incorrect. I will not warn you again. An attempt to capture or harm me will result only in you being smashed." As he says this, he takes a step back and the dwarf steps forward so that he is between Dror and the Morñornians.

The nine riders form a circle around the Xains. "You cannot smash us all."

He is smashed.
As they begin to move into the circle, the dwarf begins to grow. Hair sprouts from his body and he soon becomes something else entirely- a bear the size of an elephant. Dror stands with his back to the bear and the soldier stands in front of him, shield at the ready. Both of them have swords drawn. "I don't need to do anything. I will give you one more chance to reconsider."

The soldiers move back into the back rooms, searching for the prisoners. Demiu hears the noises outside, and quietly moves over to the door, opening it a crack.
All nine soldiers draw their swords in unison, raising shields as well. "Call off your pet, Dror, or he won't be leaving this tavern!"

"You have the situation quite reversed. And he does not appreciate being called a pet. There is no need for any violence if we can resolve this civilly."

"Demiu listen to him, he wants the Xain to stop as much as you do." Xavic says.

OOC: You can't hear Dror because he's outside and you're inside, and Demiu can't hear you because you're in different rooms.
