"I see." One of the soldiers tries to open the door, hoping that the Xain soldier did not have time to lock it.
The seven men-at-arms draw their swords, moving forwards and starting to dispatch the soldiers.
One of the Sparrows shoots him in the back with an arrow. The Xain soldier draws his sword and finishes him off.
The soldiers fight back, but the way they do so is strange. They don't seem to be trying to smash the men-at-arms.
The soldier gasps, while another barges the Xain soldier aside and into the other Xains, trying to open the door himself.
"Take one alive. Do what you will with the rest." The two Knights of Morñornia join the fray, one of them trying to momentarily incapacitate a soldier. The other Knight and the men-at-arms fight with less restraint.

The Sparrows with bows fire at him. Those without take a step forward. The Xain soldier calmly says, "This is your last warning. Surrender or you will be smashed.

The disoriented Xains have trouble standing up to the Morñornians. A few more of the fallen get to their feet to join the battle, giving the Xains a slight number advantage.

The soldier gasps and falls to the ground, but opens the door first and falls through it. The other eight do not answer the Xains, kicking up dust and stones from the ground to disorientate them and closing ranks, starting to hurry through the door.
The Morñornians continue fighting, trying to smash or disable as many opponents as possible before the rest can recover. Demiu looks around for doors leading into other rooms.

OOC: The other six. There were ten to begin with, two rode away, and two more were smashed.
IC: Three of the six make it inside before the Xain soldier shoves them out of the way and forces the door shut. The Sparrows make quick work of them before taking their uniforms and leaving.
A few of the Xains fall. The remainder begin fighting more desperately, apparently forgetting whatever orders they were under not to smash anyone.

OOC: Ah, yes. Sorry, the fact that two had ridden away slipped my mind.
IC: Two of the new arrivals run into the fray as soon as they enter the building, while one stays at the door, to bar it against the Xain. However, as the Xains do not pursue him inside, he leaves it and dashes to join his companions in the battle. Those who were already there continue fighting, though several of them are wounded and a couple are smashed.

Emboldened by the sudden reduction in the number of their foes, the Morñornians attempt to dispose of the remaining seven.
As this is happening, the reinforcements from the main camp arrive. Captain Galdan orders his men to search the surrounding area before entering the building. Twelve men go to the far side, while eight remain with Galdan on the side where Demiu's group arrived.

They take a few losses, but the last of the Xains are finally smashed.
Before the Morñornians begin their search, three men walk out from the side of the building. The first is a handsome, smiling man in a jacket and a feathered cap. The second is the soldier who had originally greeted them at the door. The third is a wild-bearded dwarf in a brown robe.

"Fan out and search the building." The remaining Morñornians hasten to do this, checking what lies beyond the exits from the room.

Captain Galdan hails them. "Who goes there?"
They find a series of back rooms surrounding a back door. Upstairs, there is a long corridor with rooms on either side.
The first man grins. "My name is General Dror, of House Sparrow. I believe you want an audience with me."

They cautiously try to open the upstairs doors and search the rooms beyond, one at a time.
"What have you done with the group that came here with Corellus?"
They find one of the Xains hiding in a room at the end of the hallway. The rest are empty, though some look to have been used recently.
"The ones who made it inside should be unharmed, provided my orders were followed. Those who didn't, well, they unfortunately were smashed. I do wish it hadn't happened that way, but they simply would not listen. Now, why don't we-"
He is interrupted by the appearance of another Xain soldier, who runs out from the side of the building. The soldier begins to turn around when he sees the Mornornians, but Dror holds out his hand. "Calm yourself. These men will not harm you. Why don't you come over here and tell me what happened?"
The soldier nods. "Yes, General." He walks over to Dror, nervously glancing at the Mornornians.
When the soldier is within reach, Dror calmly draws his sword, and, in one fluid motion, smashes him. The general wipes the blade clean and re-sheathes it, turning back to the Mornornians. "Where were we?"
