IC: Karthon sees his retreating allies, his fighting memories polished, battle muscles flexed, the rogue stretches before rushing headlong into the fray slashing wildly in parries that flowed into attacks that seemed like short discs around the warrior. He rolled back to draw breath and glanced at his allies coming up that said he needed aid. He now returned gaze to the oncoming enemies and raised his sword to renew his attack.
OOC: No problem.
IC: He soon finds Alpida and Dubhan by his side, but it is not enough. Saul and Gerr soon fall and the three of them are surrounded with no escape.

"We fight until the last breath." Alpida charges forward at the soldiers, swinging her mace furiously. Dubhan follows suit. But as the soldiers finally begin to overwhelm them, a dark shape appears overhead. It crashes down on the soldiers, sending them flying. They are able to see that it is an Orodrakus. The rider jumps down and walks over to them.

Kathon more out of breath than he realised, leant against the mast to catch his breath. But upon seeing the next spectacle he came upon full alert, unsure of this next happening. The rogue comes up next to Alpida, in case of an unexpected attack. "Who are you?" He asked the stranger.

She takes off her helmet. "I am Natasa Aliki Krykorys. It appears you need some help."

"I see you are ally. Yes, we are." Karthon said, catching his breath. "Thank you." And bowed his head.

"Indeed. You're most welcome. I assume you have a particular purpose in being here?"
"We sought to destroy this Xain faction. Though I know not of our next move. Presumably continuing the fight against the invaders..?" He asked, glancing at Alpida.

"I believe we may be able to find one of their commanders in the next ship. If we take him out, it could cause some chaos among the troops."

"Excellent." Karthon said, unable to help the pleased tone in his voice at the thought of corrupting the Xain's attack. "Will you aid us, Natasa Aliki Krykorys?"

"I will. I am afraid you three will have to handle the soldiers yourselves, though. I will keep their wizards occupied." She remounts her Orodrakus.

"You have our thanks." Karthon said again with a short bow of respect.
But what she said last set the rogue on edge. "Wizards..?" He asked, turning to the Grayling. "I never thought I'd hear of spellcasters. Let's hope we don't come up against one of those." He muttered.
Senses sharp and twitching at every sound, Karthon voices the most recent of important questions. "Where to now?"

"None necessary. This is our war also." She takes into the sky.
Alpida nods. "It is troubling news, but I trust our new friends can take care of it."
Dubhan grunts at Karthon's question, tightening his grip on his massive weapon. "Yes, grayling. Where do we go?"
"To the ship." Alpida suddenly bursts into a sprint, using a crate to spring up onto the railing of the ship, and vaulting over to their destination.

Karthon blinked at Alpida's mighty feat, briefly baffled at the lightning speed at which it was executed.
"Well," Karthon said to Dubhan, "what are we waiting for?" And with that charged after their ally to achieve their destination in his own fashion and joined the battle with the Grayling.

On the ship, the enemies are more than ever before. The three of them are hard-pressed just to keep fighting. But with the help of Natasa, they are able to focus their attention on the ordinary soldiers and make steady progress.
