Do you think we should have a Roleplay reset? I hadn't considered it before, but at this point, some tribes don't have HQs anymore, and many other tribes, like the Minor Tribes, Wolves, and Gorillas, are in the middle of fighting the Sabertoothes, but Shamrock is mostly inactive here. By a reset, I mean we'd make new HQ topics for each tribe, and start off with each tribe in its respective HQ, deciding who leads each tribe, like in the old days of LMB Roleplays. I personally don't necessarily want to do this, but I'm just thinking that it might be the best course of action. What do you think?
If we do, i'm retiring from this roleplay. All the events and interactions my tribe(s) have been involved with... just down the drain. On a different note, although I haven't been active this past week, i'll get on and reply to stuff... soon.

I back baton, I spent sooo much on lore building, and 2 years here. I think maybe ousting Shamrock or getting someone to help him, so we can continue with the roleplay.
Can someone fill me on what has happened in the past 2 months, I don't log on often, because there isn't much for me to do. The main enemy is inactive.

Well technically no lore would be rewritten, it would jut be a new continuity. But yeah, I agree.

The Sabertoothes attacked the Minor Tribes (that might've started in February, actually), but the battle's been pretty much a stalemate. The Forgotten took over the Unclaimed Land/Southernfell "off screen", or rather, the topic was rebooted, since TheThirdDecade had the mods rename it as the Forgotten HQ. The Purple City (the Mammoth HQ for a short time) was destroyed by scorpions after icebears took it over. The war between the Arachnid Alliance and the Empire of Balance pretty much ended in a stalemate, and Decade left LMBE at the beginning of April, leaving The Forgotten and Phoenix with no leader. Since then, new roleplayer ravenmecha117 has started to lead the Forgotten. Due to Shamrock's inactivity, the Sabertoothes, Lions, Crocs, and Eagles haven't done much in these past two months.
Other than those events, it's mostly been small character arcs happening; the current Mammoth King, Malgus, now has fire powers as well, the Spider King was smashed (Northern Outland Mountains topic for context), so his son is now king. Scordon Freeman overthrew Scrin (Decade asked me to do stuff along those lines with his characters), leading into the Forgotten's aforementioned change in leadership. Seris Rax declared Scordon Island an independent colony from the Forgotten, for both lore reasons and OOC reasons (to avoid confusion about the factions). Due to Decade's requests to me when he left, I'm now roleplaying as the following characters he used to play (I'm counting them as named NPCs): Scordon Freeman, Scorm, Scorpio, Scorpia, Spalyx Vance, Razic, and Rica. Maybe his side characters as well.

In my opinion, this roleplay has become it's own thing. These factions, characters, and stories are your own. To reset it would do a few things: >Erase all the existing lore. >Eliminate all inactive factors. >Provide opportunities, such as new factions. >Make it somewhat easier for new members to join. So what if we do like a retcon, or a reboot? Quietly eliminate old factions and relocate current stories to new topics, kind of keeping good things and dropping unnecessary things.

You see that will just leave 2 people here, this Rp has had over a dozen people in its lifetime, this sub forum spans over a million words on its own. And Yes I can confidently say that. Since the long posts, compensate for the shorter posts here. This RP is larger than any forum or subforum on the message boards aside from community chat (which is to be expected). There are 6 prequel stories. 6 and people wanted to write more. Maybe Shamrock finally gets around to it.
So much time was spent, only to lose it all. It would be simply disappointing.

Well we have stuck to canon species, so really it's Chima, just with splinter factions. Yeah, I was thinking along the lines of a new universe, starting with just the one Tribe for each species, like this RP was at the beginning, but we could incorporate aspects of our old fanon factions into the tribes (I.E., the Scorpion Tribe would have a democratic government, rather than the Republic of the Claw being a separate faction).

Sorry guys, man I feel terrible, but we traveled to Canada for 2 weeks, I'm back for a bit now though. I would say yes to that, it would be a decent restart.
I was an avid reader on the MBs and not a user. You will not recognize me but I will recognize you...

Well, it seems way to chaotic right now, too little bad guys active, to little tribes on any side actually, there's literally nothing for me to do except base upgrades and maybe some minor stuff here and there. If not a reset, how else can we fix tribe assignments and other issues that need to be addressed to revive this RP?

Well, before I thought of a reset, I thought of maybe the Sabertooth Tigers getting a new leader, and/or the Sabertoothes, Icebears, and Mammoths allying again, so it wouldn't basically just be every inland tribe vs the Sabertoothes, like it is now.
I also thought that the non-Ice Hunter tribes could go to war with each other, like a Second Chima Civil War, between Unichi and the Chima Alliance Remnant. I thought of this so that that tribes like the Bears and Ravens would have more to do, and also because the Ice Hunters are massively outnumbered by the southern tribes, so this could make it more balanced. It's not like we've been sticking closely to the TV show's Fire vs Ice arc anyway. I'm not saying we make it all scripted, but we could have the Ice Hunters realign and/or just kickstart the war, and the other factions, like the Arachnid Alliance, Empire of Balance, Crocs, Rhinos, Eagles, Bats, and Forgotten, can decide how they want to respond to it.
In fact, maybe we could do a "soft reboot". Rather than an actual reset, we could just better establish the new HQs of tribes (I.E., "The Outlands (Location)" could be renamed "The Outlands and Scorm City (Scorpion HQ #2)"), like Decade had done with Southernfell. New RPers won't need to know any of the previous lore, other then "the Ice Hunters are northern invaders with ice powers, but one of them has allied with a southern tribe, and the southern tribes have a fire powered energy source, and are in these alliances:", and we won't have to erase any of our lore. There'll still be Chima Public Broadcast updates connecting to the lore for us hardcore fans, and for anyone new who's interested. The Forgotten and the Scorpions have started to go through soft reboots of their own recently, and you'll see what I mean if you go to their respective HQ topics.
TL;DR: The Sabertoothes and Lions need a new leader, unless/until Shamrock becomes active. The Ice Hunters ally again, and/or a new conflict or event starts for the inland tribes.

OOC: Their are no leaders from the first part of this rp (2017) that are alive today, other than Batons leader, and deposed Rawlin. A soft reset, where we start a new war between the chima tribes and finally get someone to replace shamrock. And we have a soft reset. I support this idea.
