I suppose I just didn't realise sassy-ness was one of your fortes, I knew you were a calm, nice sort of person. But this more spunky side is a nice revelation.

Episode Two
Markus stirred. He groaned groggily as his alarm blared at him unceasingly. He rolled over and smashed down on the snooze button. He heard an odd snapping crunch. His eyes flew open as he remembered what had happened last night. He sat up and looked over at his night stand. His alarm clock lay there, at least the remains of it did. He had smashed the clock into sad little bits of plastic and plexiglass, wires sticking out here and there. He blinked. Then he felt a rush. Adrenaline shot through his veins. He whooped and hollered while jumping up and down on his bed, his pillow went flying, his blankets got strewn all over the room. “Mark! What are you doing up there?” His dad called from down stairs. Markus froze, snickering to himself. “Celebrating a win at a sweepstakes!” He hollered down the stairs as he grabbed a T-shirt out of his closet and some shorts from his dresser and ran down the hall in his dino pj’s to the bathroom. He dressed quickly then brushed his teeth even quicker, he yanked the brush through his tangled mop of brown hair then smashed the brush down. He heard a crunch and looked down at the counter and saw a dent in the surface. Grimacing, he chided himself. “Gotta be more careful.” He bounded down the steps and zoomed to the kitchen. His dad sat at the table, trying to organise his papers for work before he left. “Woah, you’ve got pep this morning.” He said looking up from his scattered documents. Markus’s permanent grin widened. “I guess I just feel brand new today.” His father cocked his eyebrow but didn’t question him any. “Your breakfast is on the counter.” Markus skidded to a stop in front of the pan on the counter. “Uh, dad. What is this?” He asked poking with a spoon at the unidentifiable glop. “That’s an omelet.” His dad said. “Made it myself.” Markus eyed the food. The food eyed him back. He swallowed hard. “Thanks dad,” He rushed past his dad, waving at the excited kitchen. “See you after school.” Almost slamming the door he stopped just in time and closed it gently. He walked off at a brisk pace over to Israel’s house.
Israel rolled over in beed and clamped down on the ‘off’ button on his beeping clock. He blinked a couple times, then rubbed his eyes, yawned and sat up. Kicking his legs out of the bed he gave a long stretch. Ran his hand through his wavy brown hair. Twisted his back left then right. Rubbed his eyes one more time and was awake. Getting out of bed he rummaged around in his drawers till he found some jeans and a T shirt that matched well. After he dressed he went into the adjacent bathroom and brushed his hair. As he ran a comb through the stubborn waves he thought to himself. “Wonder how good Moj’ll be feeling today.” He grimaced into the mirror, then laughed at how serious his reflection looked.
Och aye, howfurr did Ah gang an' miss this? Ah'm a bad mukker sae Ah'm! D;
Hearing a knock at the door he started lacing up his shoes. His mom called up the stairs. “Honey! Markus is here.” Israel trotted down the stairs. “Well you’re alive!” He said as he approached Markus. His mother gave them a weirded out look but headed back to dusting. Markus smiled. “Yeah, I actually feel great!” They headed out the door and down the sidewalk. Israel asked. “Are you sure you’re doing alright? Not gonna have fainting spells today?” He joshed. Markus wrinkled his nose. “No, no fainting.” They neared Dillila’s house. “But you know what would make us both faint?” Markus asked mischievously. “If Dillila was on time.” They said together. Dillila slept deeply. Not making a single movement that would suggest that she was even trying to wake up. Her alarm went off for at least the third time. She rolled over and half unconsciously pushed random buttons until it stopped. She rolled over again, getting tangled in the sheet and falling in a heap on the floor. “Ahhh!” She squawked before groaning loudly. She extracted herself slowly from the blankets and sat up rubbing at her eyes, almost falling asleep again. Jerking back awake she glanced at the clock and grumbled. Dillila stumbled around her room tripping on various objects and grabbed a random one of her several ‘favorite’ shirts. Tossed it on, stumbled back across the room and paired it with her typical pair of blue jeans. She shoved on her shoes and then tromped over to her vanity, grabbing her brush and pulling it through the wild reddish brown curls till she was satisfied. She looked around and saw her fox beanie. She grabbed it and stuffed it over her curls. Stumbling down the stairs she sluged off toward the kitchen. “Good morning sunshine.” Israel said as she groused past. She snatched a pancake off the serving plate and stuffed it in her mouth. Markus sat munching on a pancake too, smiling at the scene before him. Grumbling unintelligibly she flopped over to the fridge and poured some milk, chucking it back she blinked several times and grumbled in a shockingly deep register. “Gmorning” Markus and Israel echoed. “Good morning.” She yawned and flopped down between them. “Wha time’s it?” Israel stifled a laugh. “We have just enough time to make it to school before first period like usual.” He said. “Oh ok.” She mumbled. Hopped up and followed the others out of the house and down the street. The warmth of yesterday’s wind was gone. The icy wind nipped at their faces and hands as they walked. Suddenly they heard a cry and looked to their left. They saw a young man getting waylaid by a bigger slightly older man. They all stood stock still for a second. Then Israel and Dillila saw Markus running at the bigger man. Dillila gasped a little as Markus jumped on the man. They crashed to the ground and started grappling. Markus struck the man on the head. The stranger's head hit the pavement and then he lay perfectly still on the cold cement.
Hey, the 90's called, they want their parents-making-breakfast-fur-yer-mukkers-ilka-mornin'-fur-they-ken-they're-comin'-tae-pick-ye-up back.
XD I added that so Markus could have some food sense his breakfast probably would have bit him back.
Everything froze for a split second, then erupted in a flurry of movement. Markus clambered off the man and said shakily. “I.. I only hit him once!” Israel knelt down by the man checking for a pulse. Dillila stood still, her eyes impossibly round over her hand that covered her mouth. Israel sighed. “His pulse is good. Looks like you just knocked him out Moj.” Markus breathed. “Thank goodness! I thought I had…” He stopped suddenly and turned pale. Dillila drew in a sharp breath. “Ohmygosh.” The young man that was being robbed stood up. “I…I’ll just call the police.” He chirped. “Thanks for helping me.” Then he dialed 911, and soon some cops arrived on the scene. They took statements and arrested the robber. After all was said and done the young trio got a lift to school in a cop car. As they hopped out and walked into the building they were very quiet. They had missed the first period and second period. The cop came in and explained things for them, then they headed off to third period. While walking to Spelling class Dillila turned to Markus. “Moj, you did a good thing helping that man.” She said. They hadn’t spoken of the event much till then. Israel nodded his agreement. Markus pursed his lips and shook his head slightly as they tucked into the classroom he whispered. “I’m just glad nothing really bad happened.” They joined the class and a lot of the kids were staring at Markus. They had all heard about the raffle on the news and they had also heard through the grapevine about the cops dropping the kids off. It made Markus uncomfortable to know they all were watching him. The day proceeded as normal, apart from the stares and one kid asking for an autograph. Until things got rowdy at lunch. A large jock approached them in the lunchroom and spun Markus around and leaned in menacingly. “Hey scrub.” He barked. “I hear you’re some type of freak now. Supposed to be a strong man eh?” The jock scowled at the smaller kid. Israel’s hazel eyes glowed with disdain as he snapped. “That was how it was advertised, Carter.” Dillila looked supremely uncomfortable and shrunk down attempting to hide behind her apple juice. “Prove it.” The larger kid said, pulling Markus out of his chair and to his feet. Israel stood up with them and growled over the table. “Shove. Off.” Markus made a calming gesture to his friend and stood up straight and looked Carter in his eyes. “No, Yis. I think I will prove it.” He said with ambition.
Spelling class?...
Spelling, Etymology, Word Building. I have no idea how public school works so just try and give my some room to make mistakes XD
And still are they, those books which have lasted the test of time.
Do you personally think he would've enjoyed the films?
I seem to mind he encouraged Led Zeppelin to write about LotR, so personally, yes, I think he would have enjoyed them. That and if he was alive by that time I imagine he'd have a more active role in their production.
