Quite. I am very well, thank you. Though sometimes I'm so busy I question my well-being.
And yourself?
Verily. :tea: Good, and not quite so good.
Not bad. I'm somewhat in the opposite situation; I suddenly have far too much time after having had none, and am uncertain what to do with it.
Undeniably. Yes, I suppose so, though it can still be quite fun at times.
Ah yes, a most unfortunate conundrum. Well, may I be so bold as to suggest that you enjoy your free time and wait until you are inspired by an idea as to what to use the rest of said free time for.
I guess the main problem is effort. We'd need to either find a new forum host (and all of them are extremely restrictive afaik) or create the forum from scratch and that would be pretty cool since we'd have complete control over the server, database, pages, etc. However, it's very hard to make a forum from scratch, and if we go through that effort, would it even be worth it with the amount of activity we currently have? And whether migrating will even get us enough users to justify the effort, well, it's most certainly a risk. So, the development team can may create a new site, (somehow also figuring out how to port over things like user information and posts and threads, which might be impossible since we have no access to the ProBoards Database), and invest time and effort into it, but it might not even be worth it in the end.
How do you measure things being worth it? Just do it for the experience Does this place even gain non-MBs users?
Yes, it would be good for experience, but I think I might be the only one on staff who would be interested if it were just for experience. It could get non-MB users if we rebrand it or even just advertise it a lot, but it currently doesn't have a lot of people who weren't on the LMBs or Galleries.

Aren't you one of the younger member of staff? Do it as a bid for the future

I'd be interested, even with my dwindling supply of free time.
With the job market as competitive as it is right now, I may not have a choice
Just come to where I live, there's tons of jobs.
(or is that what it means for the job market to be competitive..? I don't know these things )
Depends on what jobs are available
Don't know what the overall employment rates are for everyone, but the animation industry was already absurdly competitive pre-pandemic and there have been some recent studio closures making it even worse
