*snip* "Get me out! Please! I don't want to see anymore! Make it stop, please!" Lisa felt one of the shadows putting something over her eyes. Then darkness. Nothing but peaceful and soothing darkness...
O_O' ...
oh shoot that's scary. Who were those people? Is it a vision of the future? What's with this mean dragon? asldkjalskj o.o
Lisa carefully made her way down the small trail that stretched across the Toxic Bogs. Sensei Lloyd, Skylor, and Lisa's parents were all on the trail in front of her. Odd and seemingly misshapen plants and wildlife were all around despite the harsh environment. The acid water of the bog was said to be able to burn through most materials and was very dangerous to touch. Even inhaling the fumes or stepping in the mud wasn't good for one's health. So they had brought along boots that wouldn't be easily burned through. Skylor and Lloyd wore their ninja hoods so they wouldn't inhale the fumes. Lisa wore her's too because her father suggested it would be better to play it safe. He had said. "We don't know how your system will react to this environment, you best wear a hood to be safe." See? That's proof that I still might have been made artificially. She thought to herself. Why was she trying to convince herself of something she told herself never to doubt though? Did it matter what she really was? Was it worth it to wonder what she was made of? She never wanted to know before. Lisa had always been content with who her family was and she didn't want to look anywhere else. Which was why she hated the feeling of curiosity that came with every new thing she learned about herself. Not only that, but it was selfish of her to be thinking of this when around her everyone else had problems and trials that were far more important that needed to be attended to. So, for the time being, she had decided she needed to resist the mysterious call to explore the unknown about these things. However, it seemed the harder she tried to not think about it, the more the subject kept coming the surface through her circumstances and thoughts.
It's so cool that we're learning more of Lisa's origins! She has always been quite mysterious compared to her teammates. This is definitely going to be interesting.

After a little bit, she could finally hear voices again. "I knew Cob'sss venom wass quite potent. But I had no idea it wass capable of thisss..." "Agreed, thisss iss quite unusual indeed." "Here here, our venom can cause confusion and fear to be sure, but not like this normally." Lisa felt herself being laid down gently on the hard rock ground. "Is there anything that can be done? We'll even pay you if necessary." said the voice of Lisa's father. "Do you guys still have the staff with the anti-venom in it?" asked Sensei Lloyd. "We will have to speak with the general on these matters..." "Please hurry." Lisa attempted to make herself relax, but it was no good, she dreaded what she might see when they finally took the blindfold off. "Ssplash this in her eyesss." Someone quickly removed the blindfold and then just as soon as they did someone else squeezed a dripping wet cloth over her eyes. The water, or anti-venom, or whatever it was burned her eyes for a moment. Her vision was blurred at first, but it finally went back to normal. Her father was on his knees in front of her with the "blindfold", which turned out to be part of his own white ninja hood. Lisa's mother was on her other side with an old looking wet cloth. Lloyd and Skylor were several feet away, watching from a distance. A dozen or so Venomari stood nearby as well. Including a dark green general with a tail instead of legs, who appeared to be female. She held the legendary Venomari staff. "A little anti-venom with some water. Works every time." Commented the general as she traced her other hand over the staff with a slightly smug grin on her face. Lisa slowly sat up so she could see their surroundings. They must have been in the old Venomari Tomb because they seemed to be in a large cave underground. Around them and in the distance Lisa could see small caves, huts, and tents that must have been each Venomari's home. Outside of each home was a fire pit with what appeared to be cooking tools nearby and a large pot for boiling water. At least half of the fire pits had fire in them, which burned with unusual green flames. Some serpentine were cooking frogs or giant bugs over the fires.

She could also hear the sound of an underground river and waterfall, though she couldn't see it from where she sat on the ground. There was both young and old serpentine there. Some that might have been teenagers in serpentine years were practicing fighting with wooden weapons. Some young children Venomari were gathered around an older one, probably listening to a story of their ancestors told from the serpentine's perspective. These were definitely more traditional Venomari. Unlike their city-dwelling counterparts who lived with other tribes, hybrids with parentage from different tribes, androids, and humans; and also lived within the larger society for the most part and used more modern technology. These Venomari seemed to be isolated from that, sticking to the old ways, which was fine for the most part, but there was also the chance that they would be more hostile to those who weren't their own. "Lisa, how are you?" asked her mother with concern. "I- don't know..." replied Lisa honestly. "What did you see?" asked Skylor. Lisa wasn't sure how to answer that, so she simply replied. "I don't want to talk about it right now..." "Well, that's unfortunate that we won't get to know. I still expect the payment you offered though. And I'd like an explanation for why you are on our territory." said the general. Lisa's father explained calmly. "We are here in search of the inky lemonberry plant. We have used it once before to brew the tea of insight. But now we need it to make medicine so our friends can heal faster after a long battle and the loss of their powers. There is a new enemy out there and our children will need help facing them I fear." The general chuckled and said in an almost mocking tone. "Ah, so you got yourselves another foe. What a horrible life it must be, always having someone hate you or want to stab you in the back. I've heard you ninja have angered many in the past. Now, who, if I may ask, is out for revenge or world dominance this time around?"

Sensei Lloyd replied. "It's some weird wolf cult that does assassinations, seemingly random attacks on people, and mines for glowing minerals. It's also led by one of my student's grandfather." "Should they be of any concern to us?" asked the general curiously. "We aren't entirely sure yet," Lloyd replied. "Hmm, alright then. Anyhow, the matters of payment for the anti-venom, plant, and trespassing..." "Ah right. What did you have in mind exactly?" Asked Sensei Lloyd. "Well... It would be quite exciting to have some unusual and new addition to the slither pit for entertainment during the New Year's First Night celebration. Which is two months from now. So, if you could bring some of your fighters on that night, I will count that as worthy payment." Said the general. "What if they don't show up?" asked one of the Venomari standing by. "Then they will suffer more than just a little venom in the eyes." said the general grinning. "Well, I certainly don't appreciate being threatened, but sounds like a reasonable payment at least," said Lloyd. "It is agreed then, good, I'll hold you to it." The Venomari general replied, then added, "I would like to see your skills in action more, could you join us in slither pit now so I can prepare the slither pit accordingly for the celebration?" "Oh no, we're in a hurry you see-" Lisa's father started to say, the general interrupted him saying. "We'll help you find the plant you are looking for and your young one can have more time to recover." "Deal." said her father who then glanced at her. "I'll be fine," said Lisa in a voice that she hoped sounded reassuring. After some more convincing Sensei Lloyd, Lisa's parents, and Skylor went to check out the slither pit. Lisa glanced at the few Venomari who didn't follow them who stood around awkwardly avoiding her gaze. Suddenly a female voice from behind her said, "I haven't smelled someone like you in a long time..." Lisa turned to see a frail old Venomari whose eyes were clouded over with blindness. Her scales seemed faded and there were scars on random places on her body. "Are you talking to me?" Lisa asked.

"Of course," replied the old serpentine, "who else here smells of other realm?" "I'm sorry, I'm afraid I don't know what you mean..." said Lisa trying to be polite. "I'm quite surprised you don't... Maybe I'm mistaken. It has been a long time." "A long time since what?" "Oh, of the time that I discovered a way into a realm that was unlike anything in Ninjago." Replied the old serpentine. "What was it like?" asked Lisa. "The world and its inhabitants didn't live on a planet, rather, there were many land masses and tiny planets that hung in a space where gravity and air don't behave quite the same as here. The environment was harsh, but life there was tough. I went back there many times to gather food while we were trapped underground for all those years." "How did you do that?" Lisa asked. "When I was young a human taught me and my husband how to make travelers tea and we would often do experiments to see if realm travel could be done using other substances. When we were trapped underground, there was a time of famine, we were all getting desperate... We could not make travelers tea because we did not have the ingredients, so we tried nearly everything else we could get our hands on. Until, we found a combination that worked, using glowing minerals we dug from the ground and various other ingredients that we would usually use in our teas. It led to the realm I speak of." She replied.

"Why didn't the tribe leave and go live there?" Lisa asked curiously. "Ah. They were afraid of the unknown. Only me and my husband Calius were brave enough to venture through and back. When told about it, they were interested, but the risk of moving to a strange realm seemed like too much for them and our general at the time disliked the idea strongly. What's more, there were only so many glowing minerals available to us, so we had to use each trip wisely. And when Calius was lost to the realm- Ah well, that's all in the past... But eventually, we ran out of glowing minerals and I could not return to the realm. I saved the tribe, but paid an ultimate price." "I'm sorry-" "Don't be. It's the past now." Snapped the old serpentine in a matter of fact tone. Lisa didn't say anything to that. After a moment she was going to try to say something to her, only to see the elderly serpentine was asleep. She wondered though, how she had reminded the old Venomari of the strange realm she described.

Again, I like your eye to detail when it comes to world-building, especially when Ninjago's is pretty chaotic. Ten points to Gryffindor.

Something. * has had this planned for the past couple years *

Lady Laveta stood silently and thoughtfully as her servants helped her get ready for the public to see. Camera crew, news reporters, and journalists were getting ready to go on air and begin. She had already been informed of everything that had taken place the night before. How the village had been burned. How the green ninja and his new elemental master students had shown up rather quickly. As well as the actions of the newest ninja of fire who her father was convinced was apart of his prophecy. If anything, it was her brother Zechariah who was the fox, or at least one of his relatives like his daughter. She didn't trust them or consider them as real kin, Zechariah was a traitor. Still though, if a nation could be convinced to change, so could a few individuals who had half-ill blood. Then maybe, just maybe she would see them as kin. But they would need to prove themselves greatly. "And we're starting." said a voice. Laveta stepped up to the microphone, her fancy dress dragged behind her as she did so. Laveta grinned and said into the microphone. "Hello everyone, it is very much my pleasure to share my vision with you and speak to you about current events today." There seemed to be approval from the crowd in front of her, however, she knew this wasn't the people she was trying to win over. She continued. "That being said. I would like to share my thoughts on this village that was unfortunately destroyed last night. The village was indeed filled with indecent people who hated me and thus hated you for supporting me. I will say I am aware of the young medical assistant who is convinced the elemental masters saved the people of the village, maybe they did, maybe they didn't, either way, however, it should still be noted, that these dangerous and powerful people were at the site of this incident."
Laveta did an intentional pause for a moment to let it sink into her listeners' minds and hearts... She continued. "It has been told to me that there were elemental masters spotted there very shortly after the village set fire, including, a master of fire... This concerns me deeply. For those of you who have heard me speak before, you know I am quite open on my stance of unchecked and unpredictable people holding such powers. What's more, if you look at history, especially recent history, you will see the powerful evil forces usually come to power when elemental masters are known to be around. "For those of you who have studied the balance of our world, this should come as no surprise. That doesn't make the thought of having our homes and lives destroyed by the battles they will inevitably bring any less frightening though. Many if not all of you have experienced the consequences of these battles. To give an example worthy of noting that few of you may not have heard of; I will remind you of when The Preeminent crossed over into Ninjago well over thirty years ago. The master of water banished her and destroyed all who were cursed within her. It was later found out by researchers that not only was the Cursed Realm destroyed, but also it's sister realm and all the innocent inhabitants who lived there. "Now tell me, why does this elemental master continue to live a comfortable life along with others of her kind while the rest of us live in fear that the same destruction will come to us? I will not tolerate it! When I rule Ninjago, they will be held accountable for everything they and their ancestors have done." She paused as some of the people who were standing by started to cheer. She smiled at them as she waited for them to settle down.
