" But the same things could happen to you! " Objected Zahra. Zephyr's face turned grim as she thought of Jadyn and her father at the hands of Alpha and the pack.
" Doesn't matter, if something happens to me it'll be worth it. "
" But it does matter if something happens to me? " Zahra clearly upset. Zephyr turned away from her, determined to end the conversation. Zahra ran up the stairs and into the attic. Zephyr felt guilty, because she knew if she was in Zahra' s place she would feel the same way.

" Because that's why I'm here too. " Said the woman grinning. It only took her a moment to connect the dots. She exclaimed apologetically in whisper.
" You were with the pack!? "
" Now you get it, but do you know who I am? " She asked. Azalea shook her head no.
" I'm Alfida, Alpha's wife, and we have a lot to talk about my dear. "
Alpha turned to face his daughter, his expression brightening.
" My child. I was not expecting you. I have good news though, I have found your brother. " Leveta's face turned to that of disgust and she replied.
" He is no brother of mine, you told me why he left. He's a blood traitor and not to be trusted. "
" But he is still your kin no matter what. " Said Alpha. He then added he walked toward her. " Besides, he had children, perhaps they will join us once they see how right we are. "
" How many? " Asked Leveta.
" I'm not sure, I haven't found them all yet. But for sure he had a daughter who is about eighteen. " Leveta checked something under the sleeve of her kimono and said.
" Perhaps I could talk some sense into my nieces and nephews."
" I'm afraid they won't be easily convinced though. " Said Alpha.
" Zechariah switched sides that easily. I'm sure it can be done the other way around and if not they can join the elemental masters in their doom. " Said Laveta coldly. Alpha's face turned red with anger.
" You will do no such thing! They will turn someday, I was only saying it wouldn't be easy. "
The young empress (or empress-to-be), wow, we finally get to meet her. . . (I like how you used the servant's POV, by the way! ^,^) These characters are cool together. --I dunno why, I guess I just like their interaction and dialogue with one another. >:3

" There's a few isolated villages that stand between me and my throne in the election. I was hoping you would know what to do with them. " Said Laveta. Alpha cleared his throat and spoke.
" You and I both know how the election rules work. If those villages aren't standing, they don't count. "
" Of course. " She put her hand into her sleeve and pulled out some rolled up papers. " This is all the information you need. " She said handing it to him. Alpha took the papers and nodded, then asked.
" Is there anything else you need? "
" No that will be all, thank you father. " And with that she turned to leave. Taj and the other servants followed her out of the room. Taj was grateful to be leaving finally. Just before she left the room though Alpha said.
" Wait. Could you at least visit your brother today? " Laveta turned around and spoke coldly.
" No, it would be a waste of my time. " Then she, Taj and the others headed out.
I think I know what she means. O.O
Brick, she's cold. Definitely has a hard heart and a ruthless nature.
" It's just facts... Now, wanna help me? " Asked Jet. Omicron brighten up and exclaimed.
" Finally! I've been waiting all night for you to finish your other jobs. " She put her tools in her pink toolbox and rushed over to one of Jet's work tables. She began to get out the welding tool and plugging it into the power generator.
I've been busy and stressed and tired but that's not gonna stop meh from reading!!
Ooh, new characters.
Oh yeah I know the feeling. XP Glad to have you here despite all that tho.
They've been mentioned in the background before, but they are finally getting spotlight now.
** Jet had one that went from his forehead down his face and neck and all the way down to his chest and torso as well. He had gotten it in an accident a few years ago when he had gotten himself in a little trouble with some of the gangs in Ninjago City. He had saved someone's life but he saw no point in talking about it, Omicron probably wouldn't understand his story anyway. She was here for fun mostly, Jet was here because he believed in what the pack was doing, plus life had just kind of brought him here. This was his way of making a difference in the world.

The team was at the ninja's home, Nathan watched as Sensei waited by the gate as if expecting someone to come at any minute. Moe was jogging, Lisa and Zephyr were stretching, and Copic was doing whatever she did in her parents' house. Nathan was processing all that had happened in the past few days. Day of the Departed, the attack from the wolf warriors, following Peak and helping Zephyr escape the pack, helping Zephyr's family evacuate Hiroshi's Labyrinth, evacuating the dojo and going to Moe's house, and now waiting for vehicles so they could search for Jadyn, and Zephyr's father. Nathan wondered when Sensei would ever get to training him normally again, he didn't even know spinjizu yet and they were already facing foes. What would happen if Nathan had to face someone more powerful or experienced then him? Nathan told himself he would be fine, he would find a way to beat them. However, deep down he knew the horrible truth. Suddenly the sound of a truck coming up the road reached his ears, it appeared over the horizon a moment after. It was huge and gray with a small droid in a black ninja hood in the front seat. The big truck parked in front of the gate, a large tarp covered what it was hauling. Sensei opened the gate as the nindriod got out of the the truck. Nathan wasn't going to ask questions, although he had never seen this droid before, he believed androids deserved to be treated as normal people. Moe, Lisa and Zephyr noticed the truck and nindriod's arrival and walked over to gate along with Nathan. The nindriod untied the straps that kept the tarp down with blurring speed and then removed the large tarp. Underneath was an upgraded brilliant green jet that seemed larger then Sensei's last one. It had silver tones added and it seemed more shiny. The wings were tucked back for transportation, but if they were out they would have taken up much more room then the road provided.

" Tada! " Said the small nindriod.
" Thank you Mindroid. " Said Sensei Lloyd. Mindroid then put down a ramp and got into the cockpit backed the jet down the ramp.
" As you can see I had Mindroid make a few upgrades. " Said Sensei satisfied. " Which includes: A larger cockpit, extra seats, a better communication device, a music player, Wi-Fi, a microwave, a pullout bed, extra storage, and more. As well as a surprise in back. Mindroid, show them. " The sides of the jet began to open to reveal five four wheelers on the inside, each a different color.
" Now you each have your ride now, so we can spilt up and search faster and easier. "
" That's so cool! " Exclaimed Moe. The young ninja went over to the jet to examine the four wheelers. There was a red one, a light green one, a blue one, a light blue one and a black one. Each ninja went up to the four wheeler that was the color of their ninja suits. Nathan's was the black one of course, it had a green dragon design on it and smelled new. Sensei gave a grin of approval and said.
" Well, what are we waiting for? We have some searching and rescuing to do. "
Later that day, Lost Miners' Mine at the Caves of Despair
Lisa glanced around the remains Lost Miners' Mine. The wolf warriors must have returned after their unfortunate encounter with Lisa and her friends because it seemed to be empty of aurora minerals and mining equipment.
That wasn't all they came back for though... Lisa thought as she was chilled at the sickening memory of the mine caving in on some of the pack's miners. Even though they had attacked her and the other ninja Lisa still felt terrible about what had happened to them. She looked around to find no clues in sight, the warriors had obviously left this place and didn't intend to return anytime soon.
She then noticed a a soft glow coming from under a pile of rocks nearby, she crept over to it and removed some of the rocks carefully. The beautiful watery glow of a small aurora mineral greeted her. Lisa smiled, she couldn't place it, but aurora minerals had always made her feel a sort of comfort. She also felt drawn to them for some reason she couldn't explain.
Could it have something to do with how I was made? She wondered. Lisa looked at her hand, something was flowing through her, but she knew it wasn't blood, or not blood like humans anyway. She reached out and touched the aurora mineral, suddenly an image flashed through her mind. It was so quick that all she remembered was two faces, faces she had never seen before. One male and one female. They looked royal, but also kind... Lisa jerked her hand away from the aurora mineral as if she had been shocked. She stood there shell shocked for a moment, until she felt a cold wet liquid running down her hand. She looked at her hand to find that a dark blue liquid was running from it.
" How? That's- That's impossible-! " Lisa exclaimed aloud. She snapped herself out of it and hastily removed her ninja hood and wrapped her hand in it. No one had to know about this, there wasn't time for the team to be worrying about her.
As she made her way out of the mine and the caves her mind was a blur. She was overreacting, the aurora mineral was probably just really sharp, sharper then anything else Lisa had ever encountered... She got onto her four wheeler, Sensei had dropped everyone of at different locations with their four wheelers. Moe was searching the town that they had encountered the wolf warriors at and Nathan near the fest grounds where the Autumn Festival and Zephyr and Sensei Lloyd were looking through the forest, this time right in the thick of it. They would need her help. She got out her communication device and contacted Sensei.
These are brilliant parts, NFM!! It's so interesting to see how the pack functions and see new characters as well! Alpha and Laveta give me actual chills, and just seeing how everyone dealt with the aftermath of the first book is both depressing yet hopeful. I can't wait to find out how everything unfolds.
I also absolutely adore all the character interactions and dynamics. In short, AWESOME and MOAR.
