M.I.N.D. came to life, with a low blue hue and a quite calming sound, of her own will. She streamed a few strands of digits and managed some tasks she had been given before piping two soft tones into Cypher’s private chambers. He entered the main room a few moments later. M.I.N.D. flickered into form, hovering over the desk as a near three foot figure, “The general is here to see you again.” *snip* The general reluctantly nodded, “I was also wondering if you would attend today’s Challenge, there is one Potential in particular that I would like you to observe.” Cypher looked the general in the eye, “The male? 502?” The general nodded and Cypher rested his hand on his chin thoughtfully, “Very well, let’s go.” The two men walked out of the room and M.I.N.D.’s image flickered away. She would be in the internal system, all seeing and hearing throughout the compound.

Ta da Okay I guess you've got me there. XD
That's not what I remembered it meaning. XD You also never mention guys, so I have no material to work with.
Okay what did you think it meant? XD That's true, I never realized that. It's weird that I never have since most of my friends are male anyway.

I was resting.” M.I.N.D. flickered, “I did but he says it is very important.” Cypher rested the bridge of his nose on his hand and let the room remain thoughtfully silent for a few minutes before sighing and dropping his hand, “Fine let him in.” The door automatically slid open and the general strode in and up to the desk. He stood at attention in the long silence, knowing Cyphers unforgiving and rigid way of order. Cypher finally seemed to acknowledge the general’s presence and stopped staring into the difference, waving a hand at him. “What could be so important?” The general paced before the desk slowly, “Sir? The North Pine Colony no longer thrives, the report just came in that there are none that survived the Dry pocket that hit them.” Cipher frowned, “Unfortunate, however My goal is not global extinction, but this can be used to serve as an example...make sure the people know that if they do not rely completely on me and have total loyalty then they may not receive aid when they need it.” The general reluctantly nodded, “I was also wondering if you would attend today’s Challenge, there is one Potential in particular that I would like you to observe.” Cypher looked the general in the eye, “The male? 502?” The general nodded and Cypher rested his hand on his chin thoughtfully, “Very well, let’s go.” The two men walked out of the room and M.I.N.D.’s image flickered away. Upon entering the large high roofed oval training hall Cypher started to the right and walked slowly along the catwalk that went around the room, looking down on the, now, twenty students warming up below. He descended and went to the middle of the room, standing with hands behind back until all the Potentials finished warming up and formed three rows left right and center. Cypher snapped his fingers twice, “This is the fourth Challenge you have all undergone and as you know they are completely unforgiving. This one is a little different though, only half of you will move on from this.” A timid looking young man raised his hand and Cypher nodded at him. “Where will the losers be relocated, sir? Will they be demoted to the regular army?” Cypher shook his head and smiled, “They will be relocated to the morgue. And demoted to a pine box. This is not a game 808, this is an elimination until only the best remain. I’m not going to pretend that you will survive, nor anyone else. You will give your all to live and if it is not enough then it’s natural selection.” He turned away from the pale faced 808 and started walking towards the catwalk again. He would be watching from there, about 15 feet up. “Let’s start then, general pair them up.” Everyone was squared up and set to battle. After a victor finished their battle they stood in their square and waited for all to complete their fights as well. The battles ranged from five minutes to twenty and when all had completed the Challenge there were ten remaining. 808 survived with a dislocated arm, but a determined face. Cypher made his way to 502’s square as the general waved him over. 502 was a 6’2 male, strong, with an expressionless face. Cypher pushed 502’s chin left and right and looked him over. “This one is a soldier. Keep an eye on him.” Cypher turned and left and the general barked out an order for all the soldiers to go back to their quarters in the barack. Some Potentials had to be helped from the room but most tried to hide their injuries or wouldn’t accept assistance.
