All Ninjago episodes up to and including Hands of Time are on Amazon Prime UK as of now. I have seen Sons of Garmadon but am yet to see Hunted and March of the Oni.
All of us have yet to see March of the Oni.
well when it comes out I probably won't see it until 2020.
Well let's think. Lloyd was about 10 when he got aged up, so perhaps about 4 years were added to him to make him about 14. Harumi I'm guessing was about the same age as Lloyd, about 10. But time obviously must have passed for Harumi to grow older. It's likely that about 4 years past between Season 1 and 8. Which would make Harumi about 14 and Lloyd about 19. I originally thought 5 years were added to Lloyd and 5 years past, however the ninja said they were " grown up teenagers " in Season 9 and that seems to fit how much time has passed in the seasons. I honestly wasn't expecting that for results, in my mind they should be older. What do you think?
I'm barely over half-way through RotS. . . xD
Harumi, fourteen years old. . . *thinks about my fourteen year-old-self and tries to imagine myself in her place* No. Nope. Nu-uh. That's just wrong. That's wrong on so many levels. --Although, in a different show there's a character similar to Harumi (like, REALLY similar), and despite all, her age was confirmed to be fourteen, so. . .
I dunno, I've heard discussions and disputes over the length of time over the series and all the ages, but four years does seem like a possible option. Perhaps Harumi a little older than Lloyd was when they were kids, say 11-- no, 12, which makes her 16 when Lloyd is approximately 19. I know she acts kind of young when we see her in the flashbacks, but hey, I still played with plastic dolls when I was 12, so it's not unreasonable.
I'm only up to the second episode of season two.
Yeah let's just go with what you just said there, 12 year old little Harumi sounds good to me.
Plus, it's a way of the show growing up with the audience, you could say. We meet change, we watch characters grow up and stories intensify, and that's OK, because change is part of life.
I mean, oh yeah, and it gets way more exciting when it's all dark and gritty.
Exactly, and Ninjago has kinda tought me how to except change a little more. Plus if you think about it, if a kid started watching Ninjago when it first came out when he or she was 7, by this time they would be about 15 years old!
Yep.
Okay, I'll agree to that. I started watching ninjago when I was literally 3 or 4 years old. Ninjago has gotten tons of new fans since the movie, and lots of them are pretty young. But ninjago has also gotten a lot darker since the movie. My point is, if ninjago wants to attract new fans they should stick to the more kid-friendly stuff, that's all.

Hunted just got on prime in US. Maybe the UK is just a little slower.

Again, kids can handle the dark stuff perfectly fine. Yes, there are more deaths, more emotional scenes, and Garmadon becomes a pure evil monster, but besides that, it's still kid-friendly enough to appeal to all ages.

I guess, it's just kind of a sudden turn for ninjago.

Wow, I'll admit I'm surprised at how young you were. I started watching it when I was 12. I think I can see where you're coming from. What would you consider to be more kid friendly and less dark? More like season one?

It actually started when I visited my cousin's house for my fourth birthday. They were into it and I watched all of season one with them. When I got back home, I strayed from it. Then one day years later when I was flipping through channels, I saw it was on, and I recognized it. It was "Blackout" from rebooted. I really got into it and also watched the next episode. After that I asked for sets for Christmas and that's how it started. Yeah, like season one. That one was a bit cartoony, but the story progressed very nicely to make most ages excited for the next episode.
