Sylvester bravely followed, readying his blunt cane
They make their way quickly through the winding tunnels, the soldier in the lead showing which turns to take as they go. Sylvester soon begins to lose track of the time. Try as he might, he cannot make sense of how long he has been in the tunnels.
He doesn't particularly care as long as something cool happens
"Before we actually pick anything," says Alinor, giving Azril a pointed glance, "We should take a close look at what our options are."
He grins sheepishly and puts the horn back hastily.
"Yes," says Cinead. "I can tell you what I know about these items. Anidrast's axe and shield are fairly simple. They have some offensive and defensive capabilities. Emrenich's hammer is not an option. I will not be allowing it to leave this place. The staff blade belonged to the man who trained me, Didricus Kadimarv. Its properties are related to dragons. The Greywitch's dagger has properties of binding and sundering. The chest plate provides flight, but its power source is dangerous. That will not be leaving either. Neither will those swords. I believe they will bind themselves to your hands permanently if you attempt to wield them. The spear and lantern are dark and powerful, also off the table. The staff conjures storms, and like the chest plate its power source means I must keep it here. I don't know much about the horn. It is yours if you would like it."
OOC: I've circled the items that are available below.

If I were here, my move would be to kill the dude and take *all* the loot, darning the consequences

The four of them pass a few more side tunnels, go through a library, and cross a wide sand pit.

OOC: You could certainly try to attack Cinead. I can tell you know that you would have zero chance of surviving.

As Cinead describes each weapon, Azril listens and observes but looks more and more intimated by the thought of the varying powers. There're too many to choose from! he thinks. When Cinead finishes, Azril gives him a respectful nod and settles for the horn again; somehow being ignorant of the object's power and not having to analyze it against the others is less stressful for the young man.

𝓐𝔯𝔡𝔢𝔫𝔱 𝓕𝔬𝔲𝔯 Does Goatie have an opinion on which item they should choose?
Not gonna lie I am quickly realizing this just isn't my style of roleplay.
OOC: What is it you're not enjoying?
Well I hate to come off as selfish or anything but-
It feels like none of my characters are really doing anything good or important-
And furthermore my very first one got cast into a cell and can't do anything-
If it weren't for me having two other characters I'd be doing literally nothing.
When you add the naturally slow pace of the medium of this forum it just, makes for a pretty sluggish experience overall. I don't know how I've withstood roleplaying on this site for so long in hindsight.

Goatie is eyeing the staff, so similar to the one he owns (which dons a horn on top) while Jednook the griffin had been looking longingly at the wings on the armour - he has none of his own, unlike some of his kind.
Goatie makes a face and shrugs, finding the bone staff was not a choice. 'What are we choosing, then, if I may be so bold as to ask? What about the dragon one - the staff-blade? Dragon stuff could be useful. Or the dagger - small but deadly, eh?'

OOC: No, you are very justified in that. I've been trying to work your characters into pieces of the story I'm trying to tell, but I haven't given them much agency to tell their own stories. And the extremely slow pace means they don't even get to really participate in those stories either. On top of that, the lack of any remaining active characters in a lot of locations and just being busy in real life means that I'm not really motivated to keep everything moving on my own. Xavic is supposed to break Ackar out while Amvion is at the summit, but it's been months and the summit hasn't happened because none of the people who are supposed to be at it are here any more. So I understand if you want to bow out, and if you stick around please keep tagging me until I get around to making the RP actually happen.
