"Votok. What is all this about?" The Minotaur efficiently if not impatiently asked.
"Two years ago, a Seer of my people, the Maruz Pilaunicja, had a vision of great peril that would soon overtake the Frigid North, where we hail from, and perhaps the world. She rallied great heroes of these kingdoms to our cause and brought them north to aid the peoples there. Three months ago, Ilayura and I were on a scouting trip where we discovered the nature of this threat: The Frost Giants have returned. As we speak, the heroes and all the warriors of the Frigid North are attempting to find a way to stop them before they can make their way down across the continent. Ilayura and I were tasked with bringing those who could not fight to safety, and with the guidance of Kristen Vogelhaus we have arrived in this forest with those who did not choose to settle in lands further north."
"...One word, Goblin: pyromancy. Start working on it-"

"You ever seen a Frost Giant, Minotaur? They keep Frost Drakes as pets. The magic-users up there know what they're doing; I'm sure they explored all their options."

The pard pads along behind them, drawing nervous glances from many of the others in the group. As they walk, Votok notices that the minotaurs seem to be paying him a great deal of attention, barely stopping short of staring.

Votok doesn't seem to care
They continue walking for a while. Eventually, they come across another group of travelers, mostly more white-haired humans and elves. Ilayura calls a halt as she and Siku approach the group. After a brief discussion, a dark-haired human woman dressed in forest green steps forward. She nods to Siku and then to Votok. "My name is Kristen Vogelhaus. I served in the Forest Band under Ranwell Arch and Sir Egolius. I have been leading these refugees to you in search of safety. You have questions?"

"Just one..."
he paused.
"Got milk?"
"Hmm. I think it's time we try to find our way to your people."

"They're not far-" he said, continuing to walk
"About two days' travel," Siku adds.
With Votok and Siku leading the way with the pard alongside them and Kristen, Ilayura, and Evgein close behind, the group, now about a hundred strong, begins making its way towards the Forest Band's fortress.

Hello, sir. I am Tiberius. I believe we've met.
OOC: Before you jump into this, let me set the scene.
IC: A few days ago, Harfor and a handful of his most trusted members of the Forest Band left to attend the summit Lord Amvion of the Dragon Kingdom had called to discuss the future of the Treaty of Kasp. Harfor hoped to remove the Dragon Knights from their territory, and the wizard Gidie had formulated a plan to convince the leaders of the three kingdoms to instate the Forest Band as the new Wardens. While he was gone, Harfor had left Captain Tiberius in charge of the camp.
This evening, watching from atop the wall, Tiberius saw a mass of figures approaching. Before he can sound an alarm, he sees Votok, a minotaur and third-in-command of the Forest Band, at the head of the group, flanked by Siku and a huge, panther-like creature. They are followed by about sixty strangers, most of whom appear to be children and elderly.
