He rations it until its attitude adjusts. He attempts to work up to the point where it will accept pets.
Over the course of the next couple days, Votok slowly wears the pard down. It eats the food its given and, with some reluctance, allows Votok near without attacking. It still grows violent if Siku approaches, however, and makes frequent attempts to free itself.
OOC: I'm trying to get the rest of the RP to the Summit as soon as possible now so things can move forward. You're a little bit ahead over here, so I'm going to be moving this more slowly.
He attempts to get it to enjoy being pet and then attempts to get it to understand that other people are generally friendly
He further attempts to get the Pard to the point where he can command it to attack when necessary.

One morning, as he continues work on this process, he sees Siku returning to camp rather breathlessly. "There are, ah, some people passing through the forest. About sixty. I think you should see them."

Siku leads him forward. "Just looking for now." They walk for a while through the trees, Siku steering Votok around obstacles, careful to make as little noise as possible. Eventually, Siku slows to a halt, ducking behind a fallen log, and motions for Votok to do the same.

He ducked, his new pard stalking behind.
OOC: I did forget that Votok can use magic, so we'll say he has managed to train the beast to be civil by now.
IC: Peering forward, Votok sees a rather odd procession moving through the trees. The greatest portion are minotaurs, like himself, but with pale, shaggy fur that he has never seen before. About half of the remainder are humans and elves with pure white hair, and the rest are an eclectic mix of mostly orcs and goblins. Almost all appear to be either children or elderly. As they watch, a young elven woman who appears to be leading the group passes into a gap in the trees and Siku lets out a startled cry as he sees her. Hearing the sound, the group stops immediately. Those who appear the fittest form a ring around the others as they scan the nearby trees for a sign of the disturbance.

"These are clearly not enemies-" Votok said
"You deal with this-"
He left without bothering to keep up any further sense of stealth

"Not so fast," Siku says, grabbing his arm. "You're with the Forest Band, third-in-command. It's your responsibility to help deal with these people."

"...Okay" Votok said, shrugging.
He showed himself to the dudes, and pointed in a correct direction.
"SHELTER IS THAT WAY-"
The focus of the group immediately shifts to him. Sighing, Siku stands as well. "We're with the Forest Band. We can help you find whatever you're looking for."
"We've been looking for the Forest Band," says the elven woman. "We have . . . Siku?"
Siku nods. "It's me, Ilayura. What's happened?"
"It's bad, Siku. As in, end of the world bad. We need to talk to the leader of your band."

OOC: Votok knows that it is two days travel to get back, probably more with a group of this size.
IC: "Hold on a second," says Ilayura, "We need to meet back up with the rest of our group first. There's a woman there who can explain everything better. But in the meantime, Evgein can fill you in. I need to talk to Siku."
As Ilayura leaves, a goblin man walks up next to Votok, a cloak of white furs tucked under his arm. "I can answer most of your questions while we find Kristen and her group. Name's Evgein. You?"

"Two years ago, a Seer of my people, the Maruz Pilaunicja, had a vision of great peril that would soon overtake the Frigid North, where we hail from, and perhaps the world. She rallied great heroes of these kingdoms to our cause and brought them north to aid the peoples there. Three months ago, Ilayura and I were on a scouting trip where we discovered the nature of this threat: The Frost Giants have returned. As we speak, the heroes and all the warriors of the Frigid North are attempting to find a way to stop them before they can make their way down across the continent. Ilayura and I were tasked with bringing those who could not fight to safety, and with the guidance of Kristen Vogelhaus we have arrived in this forest with those who did not choose to settle in lands further north."
