With one final blow, Votok takes down the alligator.
...He drags it back to camp. Should any creature attempt to attack him, he swings the freshly hunted alligator at any would-be attackers. Treating it like a large weapon. Because minotaur.
Fortunately for any would-be attackers, Votok encounters no resistance on the way back to camp.

He waits for the first opportunity to interact with the pard.

As the night goes on, Votok is unable to stop himself from slowly drifting off to sleep. But he is awakened before dawn by the pard's fruitless attempts to break free of its restraints.

"...Pffff--" he laughs to himself as he sees the creature's struggles, and attempts to observe the creature to find a way to calm it in some way without spoiling it.

It seems particularly displeased with the bindings around its mouth, fighting furiously to snap its jaws. He suspects that his initial instinct was correct; it is probably hungry.

He reached with a blunt stick to try and hold its head down, and then carefully attempted to reach inside the cage with a knife so he could cut the now unnecessary bindings. Should this prove successful, he then demonstrates a chunk of freshly cut alligator meat to the beast.

As soon as Votok draws close, the pard attempts to lunge at him, but is unable to reach him. It quickly shifts its attention to the meat when it is placed before it.

He pulls it back, wagging a finger at it
"Ah ah ah! No morsel for you until we learn to get along~"

"...Ohhh come now... surely some cooperation isn't too much to ask for a bit of meat, and maybe, glory?"
The pard, having a grasp of spoken language that is loose at best, tries to lunge at him again, though the bindings stop it almost immediately. Votok gets the sense that if this is to work it will take quite a bit of time.
By now, the sun has fully risen and Kalena is preparing to head back down to attend Lord Amvion's summit with Gidie.

...Votok uses a variety of techniques, of which I am not versed in, but he is, to try and get the pard into an obedient state. He refrains from violence and cruelty for the most part unless it is specifically required.

Over the course of the day, the beast slowly yields. By noon, he is able to get it to eat something, though it seems quite displeased about that.

He rations it until its attitude adjusts. He attempts to work up to the point where it will accept pets.

Over the course of the next couple days, Votok slowly wears the pard down. It eats the food its given and, with some reluctance, allows Votok near without attacking. It still grows violent if Siku approaches, however, and makes frequent attempts to free itself.
OOC: I'm trying to get the rest of the RP to the Summit as soon as possible now so things can move forward. You're a little bit ahead over here, so I'm going to be moving this more slowly.
