OOC: I know, I was hoping we'd go in this direction. Unless you don't like where its heading...
IC: The wolf...the wolf is Alpida herself! The Ice Wolf and Fire Wolf combust as she infiltrates their mind, and all she can tell is that these are ancient creatures from another time. However, as the Dark Wolf still lives, she finds that it is the Mother Dark Wolf's (the massive Dark Wolf's) pup.
The wolf with the eyepatch tells her telepathically "give...in. You must. Or all is lost." With that, she disappears, heading back to the time from which she came.
Meanwhile, the Black Knight takes it all in. He watches his former friends fall. Everything burn around him. There is an opening to the Mother Dark Wolf. Does he want a chance to redeem himself?
OOC: It's fine with me.
IC: Alpida looks at the spot where the wolf stood. Then she closes her eyes and gives in to the curse.
The Black Knight unsteadily gets to his feet. He surveys the chaos around him, spotting the enormous beast. Then he starts running southward as quickly as he can. Shadow Warriors HQ (Shadow Kingdom Location)
Alpida changes almost instantly, and the process is smooth and painless as she let it flow. She now resembles the wolf that was there only moments ago.
The huge dark wolf is now fighting the new knights. A single dark wolf bounds after him.
Lets out a wolfish sigh of relief. "Come! we should probably hide. Do you know any safe places?"
Silence. A minute goes by. The wolf is in stupor. Suddenly..."No! We must fight for our pack..."
Starts at the sudden outburst. "Wha... I can't! I'm no warrior, sure I've killed, but I've never been in combat. I'm lucky I haven't died yet. I wan't to help you but..."

The wolf shakes its body violently. "No!...you are special! You can do things most mortals could never dream of!"

"I.."*Looks away and seems to be thinking. Suddenly it seems that Tasha comes to a decision* I will help you if you help me. I don't know what to do, I'll need guidance. And I have one condition. You have to assure me that you fight for the good of the common folk, and that I will be helping the people."
OOC: Gerd was bitten? I thought he was merely maimed from the falling debris. As for the minotaurs, you can read their plight in Forest HQ & Mercenary Village, but long story short Varlamane forced Gwailgur's hand and now the band of minotaurs he's with are prisoners. Side note, I'm kind of lost on what's going on with the Tasha & Alpha storyline. Is this taking place near the Mother Wolf? And what happened to the Black Knight as I thought he was being attacked by the Mother Wolf.
IC: Steering his horse in a zig zag pattern in order to confuse the Mother Wolf, the Hero Knight extends his spear outward to the side of him. Behind him, fellow Serpent Knights silently follow his signal and split, wildly riding out of the path of the enraged Wolf.
Noting the Wolf's landing spot, they immediately move in and circle the creature. Aiming their spears inward to prevent a break within the perimeter, the circle grows smaller. The Hero Knight breaks away for a moment to thrust his spear downward for the Wolf's head, but merely grazes its muzzle. Retreating back, the Knight snarls. "We have her trapped. Raise your shields and forward your spears!"
OOC: Pushing p is more fun than pushing daises, no? K, I might check that out when I get a chance. You could read up if you want, its quite interesting if I might say so myself...
IC: The massive Dark wolf snarls louder, leaping over the closest soldier and attacking him from behind. Meanwhile, a few dozen dark wolves 'spawn' in not to far away and are charging to defend their Mother.
The unfortunate soldier pelts the wolf with multiple spear thrusts. Three more break from the circle and have their horses trample the wolf's back with a flurry of iron hooves while they jab at the wolf's head.
Eyeing the oncoming horde of dark wolves, a fourth soldier is about to call off the attack when he is grabbed at the shoulder and nearly knocked off his horse by a furious Hero Knight who screams madly. "Stand your ground! For the glory of battle, for the crest of the Sea!"
"But, Sir Jauc, this is going nowhere!"
The Knight lifts the soldier upward and throws him at the pack. He charges at them, swinging his sword and cutting down one of them.

Without breath, Gwailgur rests his head on the door. The agonizing cries of the fallen soldiers merge with the fog of sleep as he falls back on the hay.
Sir Broc counts the last cry. "That makes the entire squadron. May they enjoy their fool's reward."
Peaking from behind a fallen trunk, General Breel kicks his horse who neighs in defiance. "Shut up, you useless creature." He waves to Broc. "Hello, ah, yes, mmm, can you spare a steed? Mine has...fallen ill."
Broc growls sternly. "In your mindless retreat, you've injured one of The Baron's best horses. Should that be looked over...General?" He takes Breel by the hand and lifts him onto his own horse. Nodding to a fellow soldier, he commands for bandages. "Filwyn, help this poor creature. Lead him on back to the next village."
Breel eyes Broc with suspicion. "We won't be heading back to Mercenary?"
While watching Filwyn bandage the horse's leg, Broc stiffens. "Our orders from Varlamane triumph over those of a petty officer. We shall make for the Forest. Anymore childish questions and I'll throw you off."
Having tied the injured horse to the cart, Filwyn mounts his own steed. Broc raises a brow. "Well done." Overseeing the rest of the men, he sets off in a slow trot.
The remaining company of soldiers venture forth with their prized Minotaurs in the direction of the Forest.

"We fight not because we want to, because we have to." (Remember, this is a wolf, so if you are confused by how it speaks, keep that in mind) With that it leaps up and charges into battle, with new vigor thanks to the herbs which Tasha provided.

OOC: Did all those soldiers die?
IC: Gerd wakes up. His limbs pulse with power. Does he realize his new form?

OOC: I hoped to have left it open ended. This was merely an impromptu to get Gwailgur's story going again.
