Ackar Classes: Knight, wizard Gender: Male Age: 50 Race: Minotaur Description: Ackar is a stout, grizzled Minotaur who is aged yet youthful. He is of the Finnasoch breed and has a bluish ebon hide. He has short but sharp horns that curl forward facing the sky at a sort of diagonal angle. His eyes are a soft red.
Equipment: For Armor Ackar wears a raiment with large pauldrons. The pauldrons are adorned with large, crimson feathers, and his right pauldron is inscribed with orange ink that reads his full name and any titles he may or may not have. On his left pauldron he bears the crest of the Dragon Kingdom. The upper section of his raiment is very much like a platemail breastplate with a sharp indentation running down the middle of it like a line of sorts. A simple, weak, aesthetic enchantment has been cast on his armor, causing said line and other spots like it on the armor to glow a soft but opaque orange. He wears a light-grey robe under the breastplate with light chainmail just behind the robes to offer protection for his legs. His helm covers his entire helm and face, and bears a single "eye" on the center that glows with fire. Presumably, it is also enchanted to allow him to see out of it. His weapon of choice is a halberd that was once known as "Kiril the Bloodrinker". It is unusual in that the handle seems to be made from reptilian if not draconic materials, and the weapon's blade consists not of a completely straight edge but instead features a row of sharp serrated metal "teeh". The blade seems pitted either by design or from repeated use, and yet somehow seems to ominously retain its sharpness. Ackar himself does not fully understand the weapon as it was found in an abandoned cave. Position: Lord if possible
Going to have to post the backstory separately because character limit X_X
Backstory: Ackar hails from a clan of minotaurs who had dedicated themselves to the study of blade and magic alike. It is thought that they worship the sun and focus on the study of fire magic. They are generally thought to be honorable warriors who leave their tribe to find and pledge themselves to a noble cause. Ackar is one such warrior. He pledged himself to the Dragon Kingdom many years ago and has presumably gone on to become a respected and powerful presence on the battlefield. He conducts himself with honor and upholds a strong code of personal ethics. Ackar once performed a spot of adventuring in his more youthful days, and among his exploits is a time when he stumbled across the abandoned lair of a black dragon within which sat deadly-looking halberd. The origins of the weapon are completely unknown, and Ackar has not bothered trying to have it identified, not even to this day. The more he thinks about it, however, the more he thinks he does not want to know. Regardless, the weapon has been with him for a long time, and whatever dark reputation it may have once had has likely since been forgotten to the sands of time.

OOC: I see you managed to find the information about minotaurs I posted for Con.

OOC: Just one note: In the Plains and the Desert, the clans are what you refer to as the "breeds". For this reason, your character would have to be from the Wilderlands.
if there's uh, anything I should change or know about, please let me know.
Some info on the general attitudes and beliefs of the Dragon Knights would also be great! Particularly their relationship with dragons.
OOC: Right now, all the HQs are on relatively friendly terms. There was a battle at the beginning of the RP where the Dragon Knights fought the Lion Knights and Shadow Warriors, but since then they've mostly teamed up. More recently, the Dragon Knights took possession of the Ruins of the Pine Forest, and tensions are rising with the Forest Band as that group tries to enforce some old treaties that forbid any of the Southern Kingdoms from taking land in the Forest. As for dragons, they are very rarely seen these days, though of course the HQ always maintains one dragon rider. There was one dragon that all the HQs fought together in the Mountains and slew. Later, the Dragon Knights met his family, and gained their aid in defeating the Xain Empire. A favor was asked for in return, but not properly received, since King Darthraxx disappeared after the invasion.

Haha yeah, it's one of the first things that was posted in Newbie help after all XD

Alright then! It seems that just leaves me with the need for something to do!
I might make it my goal to diplomatically loosen our grip on the ruins of the Pine Forest and give it back to the Forest Band. Ackar would likely be aware of the issue by now. Who should I talk to?

OOC: Now that I think of it, I don't think Lord Amvion has made the situation public knowledge yet, so you wouldn't know about it right now. All you know is, a) there are soldiers in the Ruins, b) you may remember some people coming and saying something about a treaty a while ago but being unable to do anything, and c) some leaders of the Forest Band visited Lord Amvion recently. Your next move would be to talk to Lord Amvion.
Ackar, having started the day with a nice bowl of mac n' cheese, decides to seek an audience with Lord Amvion. He goes over to the wizard's residence, assuming he has one, and knocks on the door.
{JAMMERS! -RuleJJ- ONLY!} "I'd like you to prepare a small escort to ride with me to the Pine Forest. It must be small and discreet; I do not wish for the Forest Band to learn that I am going. They will be watching the forest and possibly this castle, so I will travel lightly and go in secret; the only people who can know I am gone are you, the guards travelling with me, and my servants, who have already been informed so as to help keep up the cover. I would like to leave after dusk tomorrow, if you find men by then. Ensure that they have cloaks to give the appearance of ordinary travellers."

Lord Amvion's chambers lie deep in the castle, in the most luxurious section. Ackar would find the door guarded by two Dragon Knights.
