{JAMMERS! -Shamrock- ONLY!} "Yes, my lord. He has sent a reply." The messenger gives Lord Amvion a letter.
Lord Amvion,
I will do as you say. But why is there need for this? We have been at peace since the Xains were defeated. Surely, whatever is happening, a peaceful arrangement could be achieved.

"Very good." Lord Amvion opens the letter, scans it, then opens a large, flat box. He produces an inkpot, a quill, and writing paper, and starts to write a reply. Gidie, The Forest Band have been somewhat aggressive of late. I hope to achieve a peaceful solution, but it seems likely our efforts may be unsuccessful and I do not wish for our outpost in the Pine Forest to be caught by surprise. I will ride for the Pine Forest within the week to inspect the situation there; we can discuss things further then. Lord Amvion He then seals the letter, stamping it with his signet ring. He holds it out to the messenger. "Get some food and rest, then take this to Gidie."

The messenger finds Lord Amvion in his chambers, supervising several servants packing clothes. He steps into a sideroom to receive the messenger, spartanly occupied by a tapestry, a table, and several chairs.
