Ariel and his mother moved to the nearby forest after this, when he was old enough to really fend for himself Ariel went looking for answers about the rogue. But it was in vain. He has now decided his only cause is to bring honor and glory back to the Dragon Kingdom and become as good a knight, if not better, than his father. And is now on his way to request to play a role in the Kingdom's future.

Dispite knowing it might not end well, Ariel encourages his horse to get to the castle quicker to get a better understanding of what is going on.

He does as they ask and slows his horse to a stop.
"You should turn around," says one of the soldiers, "The gates are closed to outsiders until further notice."
"I wouldn't call myself an outsider here. I am the son of the knight Marius, if that name means anything to you. But I will respect your wishes and stay out for now." Ariel responds.

The soldier scratches his chin. "Sounds familiar. Look, maybe you can help us out here. The Dragon Rider has turned on the castle and is breaking out a prisoner. You could --"
"Liar!" shouts the guard next to him, "Lord Ackar was unlawfully imprisoned! Xavic is just helping right that wrong."
The first guard shouts back. "Lord Ackar attempted to overthrow Lord Amvion! There's nothing unlawful about it!"
"Last I checked, Ackar and Amvion were equals! Just because Lord Amvion's running the castle doesn't make him king all of a sudden!"
The hands of both soldiers begin to drift to their weapons. Both appear to have forgotten about Ariel.
