I dunno, really. It kind of helps me slip into a groove, and block out the rest of the world.
Colored pencils are the best. I just finished a custom minifigure series (my bros and I make them, it was our 19th). It CONtained David Balfour from "Kidnapped," Korg, Miek and Valkyrie from "Thor Ragnarok", Shuri from "Black Panther", A blacktron trooper, My 8th nerf warrior, and a bunch of other people from places you likely wouldn't get.
Well, everyone has their own way of focusing. Mine just requires total order and peace.
I guess..? When you have the full range of colours, too. Nice work! Custom Minifigs are great. (Honestly I only got like 2 of those characters. )
I think my way is easier to obtain, at the least.
You doubt it? Yeah, I'm missing a few, but I CON sort of CONbine colors and make up for that. (Well, some of them were pretty random. )
You're welcome! I don't usually care about photo quality unless it's my own photo. The legs on minifigs are so HARD, but I do them anyway. How about you? Do think it's easy or hard? Yeah, they look a bit more like real weapons.
Or if it's a photo I'm trying to draw off of.
They're kind of essential. Yeah, they're probs the roughest thing to draw, so few possibilities for different standing postures, not too mention they're just plain weird. That's a common theme among the LEGO TV shows, cause Chima was the same way.
True. I have tried experimenting with different kicks and ninja stances and have gotten some ok results, but sometimes it's not ok results. Yeah pretty much everything is realistic except the minifigs themselves.
You're welcome! That's a good metaphor. Well I think you'd make a good writer if you tried.
I usually use colored pencils, they seem bring out the most realistic results. After that I probably use makers and pens the most, they bring out more color, but tend to look more cartoon like when I use them. That's why I Iike to do a mixture sometimes.
Thank you. Well, I'm actually writing a LMBE story at the moment, so I can say I tried at least.
Hey, that's cool idea! Gotta try that sometime, along with playing around in GIMP.
Really? I'll have to check that out once you post it. What's it going to be about?

Ooh, ninja poses are hard! I drew some non-lego ninjas a while back, it was really interesting using all of their different poses. Yep, the vehicles bugged me to no end.

You have no idea.
I guess..? XD Cool! I tried doinf that with a drawing, but I couldn't get the colours to blend properly at some point. (Some of them sound like it. )
My sympathies.
You doubt that you doubt it? Only some blend well, and even then, it's a bit rough. I have a new tactic that works pretty well, for faded clothes I color them in really deeply with a regular color, then go over it with an eraser, and it'll change the color and texture entirely! (Name a LEGO theme or really famous movie, and likely as not I have somebody from it. But I ran out of great famous characters a while back, so now I'm filling in with side characters and obscure stuff. XD)
Well that's good Hmm. Digital or traditional coloring? If you mean on paper, it's hard to say, each medium has upsides and downsides. Kinda depends on what you have to work with.
Thanks Well I guess you could do just about anything with digital. I meant traditional and on paper, specifically what method brings out the best colour?
Yeah, though there's a lot of different styles of coloring and shading with digital as well
I have different ways of coloring depending on what I'm using. Which supplies are you using? ^_^
Method of Drawing: I currently can't decide whether I like drawing on paper or digital drawing more.
Genre of Drawing: Manga, and Anime. Love them both!!
Styles of Drawing: I don't know what the difference is between Genre of Drawing and Styles of Drawing, but yeah. Again, I like Manga, and Anime.
Music: Rock. I have one song I like, but it brings up some really bad memories. I like it, but if I listen to it, I cry.
I love art, and I think it's possible to attach pictures to posts, maybe...? So maybe I can share my art sometime!
Welcome to Artist's Chat, Kat!
Ah kinda the same for me, I like traditional and digital for different reasons. I also need to get back into doing digital more. Especially since a upgraded version of my art program I use (Sketchbook Pro) just became free
Yeah some songs and stuff are like that for me too.

Artist update --
I went to a few events that involved painting with acrylic paint, I was able to paint some flowers One of them turned out better than the other xD One of them I got super frustrated with Makes me want to start doing acrylic art though ^_^

Cool! I've never done painting of any kind, but I might be fixing that in college, seeing as I'm in an art degree program.

No, I just doubt my doubt. Hey, that sounds cool! I gotta try that. *Screenshots so I don't forget* (OK: Galidor? )

*Is overwhelmed by all the styles* I guess that's what makes your art look so good! At the moment I have a standard pack of colouring pencils to work with, though I'd like to try my hand at digital art sometime.

Now, the question is, how often do you look at your screenshots? (*looks that up* What the bricks... That looks like a worse idea than Duplo and MegaBlocks CONbined. )
