I have no idea, but I have noticed that. Sometimes we are deceived in thinking that a lie will hurt the other person less. Sometimes we fear we will lose something if the truth comes out. And sometimes we tell ourselves that the other person doen't need all that laid on them.
Yeah, but those reasons are generally misCONceptions. For #1, it only hurts more when they find out later. #2, man up and take the loss. #3 this one I do understand, when somebody asks "How are you today" they don't need an hour long answer.
I know right?! I had some Veggietales nightmares. Veggietales would really scare me and my brother. In fact lots of movies would scare us. We'd hide our faces behind pillows, plug our ears, and when worst came to worst we'd run out of the room and hide in our bedrooms. ( With our one or two younger siblings looking at like we were crazy. ) I don't think I got over the fear of movies until I started watching Star Wars and Harry Potter. ( I think what gave me the worst actual nightmares was the Benenstain Bears shows/ books... Anything worse than those came from my imagination... )
ow my eyes XD We were all a bunch of wimps. Hey, same here, those movies kinda helped me chill out! (Bearstain Bears? No way -- I mean, I can understand VeggieTales, with that old 90s animations, but Bearstain Bears. . . ? Ah, yes. Our imagination is the source of our greatest fears. XP )
Sorry. ( I'd tell you about the Bearstain Bear dreams, but I don't know if it'd be allowed past moderation... They would baseically be about Brother and Sister bear facing these really really really creepy monsters that are so ugly I don't even know how to describe them and I've nearly forgot what they look like exactly. It doesn't sound so bad now, but when I had those dreams it was scary enough. Still the thought of those monsters is disturbing. Yep. )
