I gasp as I wake up on the cold stone floor. It feels cool against my cheek. I relax a little, trying to calm down and remember. It's very dark wherever I am. My eyes haven't adjusted to the light. I close them and sigh.
The last thing I remember was that guy. Who was he? I ponder. Dad seemed to know him. Dad. I groan aloud. He is gonna be so mad at me for leaving the Tower. I sigh. I shuffle so I'm lying on my back and not my stomach. How long was I out, anyway? I start to move my right arm, remembering my watch. My shoulder starts to hurt as it moves. I must of hit it hard on something. When I get a good look at the face of my watch, I learn that it has a huge crack running through it and the screen isn't on. Great.
I drop my arm and turn my head to the right. My quiver of arrows is lying on the ground next to me. I sit up, too quickly. My back is hurting, too. I groan again. Clank I freeze in place at the new sound. Dang it. I don't know if I'm here alone or not. I have been making a lot of noise, too. I swallow and grab my quiver of arrows. I sling it around my left shoulder and stand up, ignoring the pain my limbs scream at me with for moving. I find my bow among some boxes and pick it up. Good thing Dad taught us how to shoot with either hand. I study the boxes as I stand back up. They're moving boxes. I study the room I'm in.
There are boxes everywhere, big and small, all brown. They are in places where furniture might be, around things covered in white sheets. I lift a sheet up and look underneath it. A couch. The room appears to be a small living room. There are two windows on the far wall with white curtains covering each of them. I walk quietly over to one and look out. There are thin bars that are on the outside of the window, covering it. The bars are old and rusted and look as if they are trying to keep someone or something in. Looking past them, I notice that I am a few stories up. Looking down, I see a quiet and not-so-busy street. Street lights are on. I look up and see the infinite darkness of the sky, sprinkled with stars all over.
I jump at the sound of clinks and clanks. I am not alone at all. I grab an arrow and ready my bow. I scan the room, beckoning anyone to come out of the shadows.
"L--a." There's a door on the wall I'm looking at. It's wide open and light is coming through it. I slowly make my way to it. I clear the room before truly studying what's in it, and that's not much. There is a T.V. in the middle of the room. An old "box" type of T.V. with two antennas on top. Static is on the screen. I shut the door behind me and lock it. I walk over to the small television and try to fix the antennas. I hear a bunch of static, and maybe a whirling sound every now and then. Then I hear a voice.
"Lila! Wait!" I stop at the sound of my Father's voice.
"Dad?" I question aloud, almost afraid to go back to the screen.
"Yes, Lila. It's really me." I walk around to the front of the T.V. to see him. He's not exactly looking at me, but it's him. He's staring straight ahead, as if looking at a camera. "I know it's weird. It's weird for me as well." I crouch in front of the television.
"Can you actually hear me?" I study his eyes.
"Yes and no." He shifts uncomfortably. "Listen. I'm sorry about Mordo. I should of told you sooner."
"It's fine. How are you-"
"I'll explain it later. That's not what's important right now. The thing is you're in a different dimension." I feel the world freeze around me.
"I'm.... in..... a... different..."
"Calm down. You're alright. We'll get you out. Just hear me out." I do as he says and take a deep breath. My head is spinning. "Mordo will let me take your place-"
"No! Not a chance. I don't care what it is. You are not trading yourself for me. Ever!"
"Lila. If it's a chance to save you, then I'm willing to do it."
"A chance to save me? What about you? I'm younger and I am quick on my feet. You might hurt yourself if you were to come here."
"Lila."
"Besides. What if your job needs you? The world is way more than important than me."
"Not to me." I fall silent. "What am I suppose to do with you there? What am I going to tell your mother?"
"What would I tell her if it was you? Look I'm sorry, but the way I'm looking at it, better me here than you. I'll be fine."
"How can you promise that? You're in a DIFFERENT DIMENSION FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, Lila!"
"I can promise that because you taught me everything I know. I may not have the experience like you, but I have some of the knowledge. I can figure it out." We both fall silent. I stare at his blue eyes.
"Your left wall. At the top, centered in the middle." I look there and see a small camera. Okay. That's how he can see me. "Something's going to happen in a few minutes. I don't know what, but I think it will be helpful for you." I look back at him and nod.
"I won't fail you." He gives me a small smile.
"Be brave." The screen cuts to static again. I hear some clanking outside, making me jump. I get up and put my back to the door, putting my weight against it. A few minutes can feel like a long time. I look up at the ceiling as I wait. Screeching noises start to come from the door behind me, making my heart speed up. I try to calm down. I focus on my breathing. In. Out. More screeching. Come on. Hurry up and send help.
A small breeze fills the room, but there isn't a window or fan in sight. Dust starts to pick up off from where it lays and goes in a circular motion as the wind picks up. I watch as it creates a mini-tornado in front of my eyes. My hair, still in a messy braid, whips around me. There's a flash of a bright, white light, and I have to drop to the floor and cover my eyes. I move my quiver where I am laying on top of it so the arrows don't go flying everywhere. What is this? I wonder.
I start to hear screaming, but I can't tell whether it's my own or not. It's followed by a thud on the floor. I look up, hoping whatever fell didn't hit the T.V.
Gnuehchcaz told me about this co-write. I checked it out, and I'm sure glad I did. This is great! I like the two worlds mixing together. I'm looking forward to more!!

Glad you like it! I'll be posting the next chapter hopefully this week or next week.

Chapter Four: Part One:
I don’t know where I was going. It took some time going at light speed, but eventually I stumbled upon a swirling vortex that was sucking everything in its path, even the light from my headlights. I tried to back out but it was too late, I was already sucked into the vortex holding onto a handle for dear life and my body felt like it was suddenly morphing into something else. I thought I was going to disappear from existence.
I opened my eyes, but I couldn’t feel my nose. I looked at my hands and I didn’t have five fingers anymore, but just one large cylindrical claw. My feet were square, and my body is very rectangular. I look at the spaceship interior and it’s also very rectangular. I look at the windshield and see my reflection in the glass.
“I’m a LEGO minifigure!!” I yelled. I guess I was excited to be a minifigure, but I was also scared because my ship was headed straight into a desert region. I must’ve gone so fast I didn’t even see what planet or galaxy I was heading into. I try to regain control of the ship and was able to land it… terribly. The ship’s landing gear scraped against the sand and I hear lots of cracking and destruction as pieces of my ship fell off. Eventually it came to a stop, and then the airbags blew up.
After a while, I made sure I was alright and I get off the ship, wondering how I became a minifigure. I also stared at the ruins of my ship and it too had been made out of LEGO pieces as well. 2x4 plates, 1x1 round studs, and 1x2 bracket pieces lay everywhere.
I thought to myself, “Lucky me. If I was still a human, I would’ve actually gotten hurt in that crash, but since I’m a LEGO minifigure, I can’t get hurt… I think…” I concluded that the vortex was a portal to this LEGO dimension and converts incoming objects to a LEGO equivalent. I have no idea how that works, but it exists.
After grabbing my bag, I decide to walk away from the wrecked ship. It may have been made out of LEGO and I may know how to build LEGO stuff, but I don’t quite know how to put this ship back together without knowing how it came together in the first place, and now that the bricks were the same size as me, it could take hours to rebuild.
