Oh, wow, I am so glad about that. I've been happy that the "suggestive" scenes have never really been more than just that, suggestive. Not descriptive. But they've been getting more and more suggestive as the series has gone on, and it's good to hear that they fade away after Fires of Heaven.
Yeah, I would have given up if I hadn't read most of the books after it before I read it
You read them out of order!?!?!?!?!? How dare you!
To add to your point about suggestive scenes, only Book 5 is really bad, a even then it is only very obvious allusions to event, not actually describing it. TBH, Book 5 doesn't even feel like a Wheel of Time book, so if you want to skip it I'll give you a synopsis of the important bits. After Book 5 there's nothing that I recall.

It gets bad in book 9, and in book 7 I think. But its the worse in book 9. Again, they don't say anything but the reaction is obvious. I wish it hadn't got put in personally. The chapter is called "A lilly in winter" If you want to skip it after two people leave. Though its not as bad as say the bible, or at least any worse.
I am considering starting this series as my library has the majority of the books and our library system most likely has the rest. Yes, I will read through them. It will take a long time, but I will. I read a 400+ page book (The Sword in the Stars, actually quite a decent book) in one night.
My question is this: on a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the violence, crudity/suggestive scenes, and language of the series? I could most likely handle violence, but I don't like crudity and can't stand excessive language.
Violence: 6. Lots of smashing, but not in detail. Example "The front ranks of the Army explode"
Suggestiveness: 8. It is pretty bad in books 5, 7, and 9, and maybe more. Not much worse than the Bible though.
Language: 3. Makes up its own "swear words" But nothing that wouldn't be that bad IRL. Example "Light, a sertion red luquid+ly, <---that and B****+ly ashes, and 'flaming" so nothing bad irl, but they do use the above quite a bit.

True, the Bible doesn't even bother to hide things like that, it tells it how it is.
Wow. So sad. You spoiled the series for yourself....
I looked at the WOT Wiki. NOTE: Do not go there until you are done withe the series.
I won't.
I looked at a list of WoT characters on Wikipedia, and it tells you who dies! Thankfully, I only saw one that was a big spoiler and then left instantly in my distress.

Yep, I wouldn't say that WOT is any worse than the bible would you? Then we should probably stear the convo a way from this.
