I think I remember that, I have some Mega Bloks goop set I got as a present one year. The ONLY thing Mega Bloks is good for is cheap baseplates:P. All Jack Stone sets were pretty quick builds. Big pieces.
The early 2000's were the best. Mega Bloks was just starting to come good, LEGO was cheap because they were financially unstable, BIONICLE was a thing, you could still buy huge boxes of bricks of a normal-ish colours.
Nah, Mega Bloks is good for a lot of things. I still have most of my 1,400 block bricks. Alien Agency had motorbikes, realistic looking ones. I had a few of them... Only one now. Mega Bloks is good 'cause they were competition for a while. LEGO would probably be way overpriced without brick based competition.
Thanks to Mega Bloks I actually collect LEGO dirtbikes. I'm trying to get all of the colours twice... Dark green is overpriced. I have red, white, grey, black, lime green and orange. Will try to obtain the two blues and purple in the near future. I don't think they make yellow.
I hate Mega Bloks, I just don't like LEGO knockoffs:P. I am sure most people here agree with me, but I am not gonna start a flame war about it like others might have done:P. I agree though, the 2000s were better for LEGO for BIONICLE, Alpha Team, LOM/MM, and plenty of other great themes. Plus LEGO was cheaper back then!

Some could say the same about LEGO though. I'm not going to get into it, but everyone copied someone else, even LEGO. At the end of the day, they're all just bricks. Some are build better than other, some look nicer than other and some are cheaper than others. I really don't see the issue. JangBricks made a statement about bricks before LEGO.
LEGO still had original stories and sets back then. Everything seems licensed now.
Dunno, haven't talked to Rio much recently. Probably should change that
I am pretty sure Rio is against this place as we would not work together with the wiki. This is for obvious reasons though as the wiki doesn't have moderation, or at least instant moderation.

It's going well man. Obviously I haven't been very active but I decided to check the LMB wiki like I do every once and a while, and they told me the LMB's were closing. Someone on there showed me this place which is really cool. I used to be a big part of a forum like this called MLNTeam until it died. Glad I could find a place just like it here.
MLNteam has had a bit of a revival recently Hardly, but people are sorta posting again.
You mean you're posting again? MLNwikia is the same. I miss MLN and the cool lil' communities which sprouted because of it.

Roddy and a few others were posting too
Yeah, I'm still ticked that LEGO hasn't replaced it. They've always had something like that, first club castle, the club pages, then MLN, now nothing of the sort. And same for the MB's, those have always been there and now nothing. LEGO life is really dumb in comparison and the games are even dumber. Kids these days don't know what they're missing

Yeah. It's not the same without all the good stuff. They've just dumbed things downs for the kids. We were fine, I don't see why this next generation isn't. The bubble wrap society I guess

It's interesting. The internet is all protective of kids, yet adults are letting more and more young kids see PG-13, even R, movies:S. I saw TONS of kids under 5 seeing Rogue One. I also saw PLENTY of kids seeing the new X-Men, which is rated R:S.

Wait... What is 'R'? R in Australia is 18+. That movie was rated MA15+ in Australia. I always see kids in MA films. Pretty sure you can watch MA films with an adult, 'cause I always see kids watching "inappropriate" movies. Watched one R rated movie in my life, I was probably seven at the time and I don't remember it being violent or anything. We don't get many R's.

The US rating system: G: everybody PG: parental guidance suggested, but everybody can go PG-13: parental guidance highly suggested, some content might not be suitable for children under 13, but everybody can go R: restricted, children under 17 can only come with a parent or guardian NC-17: Nobody under 17 allowed
So Yeah, you can see R movies if you're with an adult, hence why I see tons of kids in some R movies, such as the new X-Men one.

Weird that our restrictions are not as restrictive. So you guys must have heaps of R rated movies. So... You get asked for ID if you look too young? <- That is so annoying, it's just a movie. Pretty sure most people over the age of 13 know the difference between film and reality.

life without a marvel movie is death, that's why you must see every marvel movie, even if it's rated R.

Yeah, I would say 30-40% of movies are R. Yeah, the general rule of thumb is you should bring you're ID if you're under 25. I don't know, I am actually fine with it. Some R movies aren't bad, but if you want to see it you can just go with an adult. Some are pretty bad though and if I was a parent I wouldn't want my 13 year old seeing it:S.

I guess I'm dead as I never saw the Fantastic Four reboot:S:P.

Gee... That's the rule Australia has for adult drinks. That's like classing them as equally bad or something. I get asked for ID everywhere I go. Are Tarantino movies R? Used to watch them all the time as a kid. In saying that, I'd probably steer clear of those sorts of films with children.
