Several weeks have since passed after the Fusion Reactor incident in the UES. Travel and trade bans are finally raised, and citizens of the Union are free to visit other planets. However, at the same time, several unidentified objects start entering inhabited space very discretely, perhaps from the edges of the galaxy, and the depths of uncharted space.
*one enters the scanning range of a centari class warship* what in onderon?

The objects come up on Meketare radar. They are scanned for anything that may identify what they are.

Only one is found by the radar: most of them are spread out or still drifting through space. It is an extremely large satellite, resembling those employed around the 21st century of the 2nd millennium, and built very simply and crudely. It seems to have good amounts of heat emanating from it, indicating intense computer activity, and it seems to be sending small bursts to correct it's trajectory. Large amounts of radiation hint towards an use of Hyperspace to channel communications. Further information would require more in-depth scans and perhaps even probing it.

On the viewports comes a large satellite, primitive and crude in appearance, slightly resembling one that might have been used in the early 21st century. It speeds across the dark and cold vacuum of space, occasional jets coming out from several engines to correct it's trajectory.

Meketare does what it does best and leaves it to see what happens.

*a fighter is sent to check it out*
Nothing much is revealed by the inspection. Thermal sensors indicate a good amount of heat inside the satellite, hinting towards a busy computer inside. Enregistrer

I see where this is going, everyone get rid of your lasers in favor of old-timey handguns NOW!
I couldn't think of w decent sig, so here's a pig: 🐷

That is an EXTREMELY bad idea considering my plans. You would get butchered by a weak enemy.

The satellite continues it's trip, undisturbed. It seems to be heading for the most inhabited regions, precisely Centrepoint, and occasional encrypted transmissions are sent back towards the depths of space.
