Okay, so did anyone see the latest episode? I think it hit me in the heart!
First, I like how they sometimes put the story into the perspective of normal Ninjagian citizens, such as the two garbage men at the beginning.
Okay, that Garmadon is creepy.
Of course she's not gonna talk. She's too focused on getting her plan to succeed.
RIP police and jail warden. (Hopefully they'll eventually be put back...)
Okay, I gotta admit those Ninja need a singing lesson. (Also, is it just me or was the baby maybe singing a bit too?)
Yeah, Dareth...maybe try not to be such a slob next time someone needs your house for shelter?
Oh, Lloyd...you don't even trust your friends anymore? Rumi's made you so cold you decide to lock your friends in a room?
Cole, wait- never mind, they're just watching.
Garmadon needs his teeth fixed.
LLOYD!
Garmadon, are you out of your MIND?
He's flashing green, not good!
You have no son? Okay, I've had enough of this Garmadon! Where's the other guy who cared?
NOOO!
"Faaatherrr" killed me.
Honestly, I'm kind of angry. Lloyd deserves way better, and if he dies, well...well, I'll be even angrier.
"Lord of Jig" was funny though. And the ninja singing.
Brick, for one week I completely forgot about this place.
That episode hit me hard, too. I don't think I'll ever recover.
Poor coppers. They're trying so hard, but everything's going so wrong. . .
I kinda like it when people sing badly. It means they're having fun. (Yeah, I think baby Wu was singing, too. They ought to be on "Ninjago's Got Talent". )
Lloyd. What. The. Brick. Not smart, man, not smart at all. We all know how this is going to end.
Heh heh, yeah. Garmy, have you been flossing?
Ooh, pretty green lights
Of COURSE he's out of his mind!! He's not the true Garmadon -- he's Garma-cuckoo!!
WHY DID GARMADON HAVE TO TAKE OVER NINJAGO? THAT'S THE WORST!
What the heck is Wu drawing? Why is he drawing it over and over? Is that a claw or something?
Oh, it's a steaming cup of tea! (He's good at drawing for a baby!)
I think one of the biggest shocks was that Lloyd DIDN'T die. Although the black eyes on his S8 model will take some getting used to.
Am I the only one who kind of likes this version of Mistaké?
"TO GOOOOOO."
Yay, they shed more light on the almighty Jig Lord! (I still can't get over that joke.)
Wu's voice is too adorable, I just...
Where did all the depth in Harumi go? She used to be a cool, sadistic sociopath with style and a tragic backstory! After reviving Garmadon, she just became this big ball of "IT IS I HARUMI MUAHAHAHAHA!!!" I'm starting to think Morro was better at staying deep.
Oh, so THAT'S what a Colossi is! It's...well...colossal!
WHY DID IT HAVE TO CHOOSE A GUY GOING TO THE BATHROOM! Well, it was pretty funny.
Misako's getting better! (Unlike most of the fandom, I don't really hate her anyways.)
"Not so fast!" Nice nod to episode 8. Jay pointing out the cheesiness of that saying was great.
I'm still glad Jay is a bit more important in this episode.
NOOOOO! NINJA!
Oh ,they're not gonna die! Phew!
But Lloyd still thinks they're dead, and he actually cried! (Nya's probably pretty angry...hoping she doesn't dump Jay or disown Kai for this...)
Tea to go! That's what it means! (Also, the Traveler's Tea has improved! I like how it's not just a random portal, it's actually surrounding them.)
I'm so glad Lloyd didn't join the Dark Side...and yay, he didn't get dropped off the train!
So...Ninjago is a dystopia now? I'm a little scared to see what it would look like next season...
Oh, so that's why the new outfits look so damaged! They're in the First Realm already?
Phew! I'm glad that wasn't a bone in Jay's outfit. I was worried there!
And Cole's showing off even MORE? Next thing you know, he's a shirtless man in a ninja mask!
"You said the greatest villain was the one who got away...then WHAT AM I?"
Lloyd is AWESOME.
*claps hands* BOOM. Take that, Miss "Now-You-Know-What-It's-Like-To-Feel-Your-Heart-Tear-Into-Twenty-Seven-Pieces-Like-A-Math-Textbook-Under-A-High-Speed-Tractor"!
OK, I don't actually recall Harumi saying that bit about the tractor. . . but something along those lines.

Yup. He's not gonna fall under a deep depression or something just 'cause you tried to break his heart.

I mean, if our little Lloyd has survived this long after being abandoned by his mom, growing up in a school for evil boys, his father turning evil and trying to turn him to the Dark Side, evil snake clans, indestructible stone warriors, fighting his father, the Overlord stealing his powers, watching Zane sacrifice himself, watching Garmadon sacrifice himself, getting possessed by Morro, living through that Skybound craziness without so much as a memory of it, losing Wu to a time vortex, and all the fangirls throughout the entire time of the fandom trying to pair him up with their OCs or themselves, then Lloyd can probably get over Harumi. Sure, his heart's been torn apart and Harumi is gloating about it in his face after getting the snot beaten out of him by his dad, but, you know. . . the kid's tough. He can handle it.
So, continuing from our discussion, wasn't it confirmed that Skylor would return in Season 8? Strange that she didn't.
It's a shame that this season hardly used the side characters. The King and Queen are just there for a while and then die. Hutchins just shows up out of nowhere and vanishes an episode later. Cyrus Borg, Ronin and Skylor are just forgotten. I get that the Hagemans are trying to make sure that movie fans aren't confused, but then why do they bring up things like the Great Devourer and Wu getting lost in time?

As far as I know it was just assumed since her voice actor knew about one of the characters. And the fact the she's been in at least one episode per season since her character was introduced.
It would have been nice to learn a bit more about Hutchins, especially since a minifig was made of him. Yeah it would have been nice to have Cyrus Borg and Ronin in it too. I don't know what they're doing, it seems kinda messy to me. Because the movie has a different map, a different story, different characters even. And trying to make people less confused by just changing and hiding a few big things isn't going to help, it's only going to confuse people more, I know because I talked to someone who only saw the movie and they said it was confusing that they did that. However it's very possible the Hagman brothers don't have any say in the design changes and maybe that one is on Lego. ( It's possible Lego had a little say on the story too. ) I wonder why the Hagman brothers let the Ninjago Movie's plot, feel and theme be so weak, cliche' and cringe though? Don't they know better? Or did someone else have a say in that? ( I'm just saying... Even you or I could have written a much better script. )
( Sorry about the Ninjago Movie rant. )
It was interesting though that they connected the happenings in past seasons to the current, that made the season a lot more interesting in my opinion.
