I like it! I might take another villain myself and help you, if you wouldn't mind. I don't know how plots work in a RP, but I'd be quite interested to see how that works.
Okey-dokey. I think I'm gonna grab Scar and get things kicked off at the Lion King world.
*butts in*
Err...actually, Shamrock claimed Scar. I realize he hasn't been RPing the character much, which is probably just a result of the evil thing known as IRL... I just tagged him in another post here to see if he's still interested, though, so whether or not he is would technically depend on whether or not you can play Scar.
As far as the villains go, I feel like we should put "Villain" in the sub-title of your character or whatever, just to alert other RPers that this character is meant to cause ruckus and such. Also, at least in my case, it's going to alert them that I really don't mind if that character is smashed.
Next up, armies. Are we allowed to train armies? I'm just wondering about this for my villains, Scar kind of needs a couple hundred hyenas to do much of anything.
My suggestion is a cap of a hundred troops for any single character. In my case, Scar could train a hundred hyenas, and then Shenzi, Bonzo and Ed could technically all train a hundred apiece if they were in play. You train troops in quarters, so it takes 4 days at least to CONplete an army. While training troops that is the only move your RP character is allowed to make, basically you just post "Troop training (25%)," "Troop training (50%)" and so forth until you have your army completed.
Thoughts?
*looks at my Shenzi NPC* Oops. I could probably go back and have Sam put "villain" in my title.
There was some debate about that, I think...I don't remember what we settled on for armies. Just wanna point out that his name is Banzai not Bonzo but that's not the issue right now We could build some massive armies that way. Which sounds good, but at the same time, would it just become a giant non-stop war of trying to build and move armies through the worlds? I'm not a RPer so I don't know how carried away you guys get.
Okay, sorry, just had another thought. Is it possible for a character to, in a way, be two places at once?
For example, Mushu (Con) and Minnie (me) were having a conversation in the Castle. Then I sort of forgot about it and Then when I was about to reply, I realized Mushu had gone through the portal to the TLK world.
So...would it make sense to continue talking to a character who's done that, or are they somewhere else for the time being?

So do we put “Hero” for hero characters then?
I’d suggest build chains. Maybe a bit complicated for newer RPers, but it’s the best solution imo.
Firstly, you still want to RP, right Sham? I saw that you made a post in the Winnie the Pooh World, so I assume you're still around.
Okay, so, this isn't really important, but a while back when we were debating having leaders for all the HQs, we were puzzling over who would lead the TLK world. Then we decided we didn't want leaders, which is fine by me. But for this world, we still might want to figure out who's the actual ruler, even though the RPers ourselves aren't in any type of hierarchy here. If that makes any sense.
So anyway, I was thinking maybe it's a polyarchy of sorts, with all four monarchs (Mufasa, Sarabi, Simba, Nala) managing the kingdom together? It might be more complicated than it's worth, but since we're ignoring the plot of the actual movie, we need some sort of organization going on.
Then there's various other characters. Rafiki and Zazu will be...just, around, I assume, doing whatever they please in the world or exploring other worlds. I'm guessing part of the HQ topic is allocated for the Elephant Graveyard, which is where Scar and Shenzi can spend some of their time. Ultimately, the characters will all interact with each other; and I'm not trying to dictate what they should do or where they should stay, but I just needed to clear some things up as far as the actual story setup goes.
That turned out way longer than I meant for it to be. Ah, well, maybe I should've used jammers after all.
I think all that makes sense. I'm ready to roll with that. If there's any serious leadership stuff that needs taken care of, though, I think that Simba could be on top of that, and Mufasa's just. . . in retirement.

I like the idea about adding "Villain" to the character's sub-title, that'll help -- now I wish I'd done that with Yzma. Can one change the name of their RP avatar?
The armies idea might work, even if it seems a little complicated to me. I'm very experienced in RPs like this, so I'm not sure what my opinion should be.

Mm. It might be best if each of us could try to limit each one of our characters to one conversation at a time -- otherwise we might end up with a bunch of Disney character doppelgängers doing different things in the same places at once.

I’d say no, it leads to some serious continuity errors.

My vote's a no on that. It can get confusing if they are in two places at once.

No, it's just to alert everyone that this character is not to be messed with. Of course, I would think everyone taking part in the RP is at least a moderate Disney fan -- so, assuming they recognize villains when they see them, it wouldn't be necessary.
I know I already asked this, but what is that again? Just building an army over a course of several days, right?
Yo, what does everybody think about having a plot, of sorts? I only have one character at this point, what would people think of my taking on some of the villains and causing some widespread damage and danger?
Though an easy-going RP is nice, some tasks would be pretty nifty.
Question to all you more experienced RPers: I know we're supposed to make a post stating whenever we enter or exit a portal, but...where do the characters start at? Wouldn't they start in their own worlds (e.g. Elsa in Arendelle, Rapunzel in Corona, Simba in the Pride Lands, etc.) and thus not have to travel through a portal to get into that world?
Unless we all..."spawned" at the Castle or whatever, but I think it makes more sense the other way. IDK, that's just what I was seeing, but maybe I'm wrong.
I think starting off at the Castle sounds like a good idea. That way the characters will wander about and become accustomed to other worlds and using the portal from the get-go.

I guess we'd never have know until we started anyway.
I think a multi-ruled Kingdom/World sounds a bit too complicated. So perhaps (assuming that they're both adults now of course) Simba & Nala rule TLK World, with Mufasa & Sarabi offering guidance and maybe step in to rule while the others are away. I don't know what's best for the dynamics of the RP, but I'm just offering my opinion.
