A large sum of money was electronically deposited in the bank account of a factory owner a few weeks ago. One day later, he received an email demanding that he give control of his factory to the sender in return for the money he received. The man refused, and was found smashed the next day. Something about a system shock while using his computer.
The factory was closed within a week, and the public was prohibited from coming within 100 yards. Many delivery trucks brought machinery to the building which was presumably set up right away. Nobody knows who controls the factory now.

That's normal and you need to just accept that you won't win or survive every fight you through yourself into. Pain Bot decides that with this new combatant he will have to strategically retreat as winning now is no longer possible. He lasers himself a pathway down into the sewers and makes a hasty retreat out of the city.
All heroes exception of Cosmic Ninja still have the laser damage applied earlier and should seek eye doctors as they are now blind.

Thanks, Google. So, yeah, speed of light. But in the show Pain Bot only fired brief, ontrolled bursts of yellow energy, waited a second, aimed, and fired again. Except for the aiming thing, he had his target in his grip, so not much aiming in the show, but it can be assumed for the RP.
