It has come to our attention that many users do not approve of guest accounts, for a multitude of reasons. Additionally, the only reason for one not to create an account would be that their parent or guardian does not wish for them to participate, and we must respect their choice.
Guests also pose issues to the Moderation Team, and frequently repeat offences because of the fact that we have no way of sending them a private message to inform them of the illegality of their actions.
Due to this, guest posting will be disabled. Guests are welcome to view the site, but must create an account in order to post.
Thank you for your co-operation.

Lord Sham of the rock? :P I actually think that this is a good idea. I was wondering why guest posting was allowed. (I did use it once before I decided to make an account, but I still think that this was the right choice.)
Because it could prevent some under 13s from posting. A lot of the staff have wanted this for a while, some did not until recently. Personally, I've wanted this since I was put on the staff, guest posting isn't really the issue but it's the fact we can't really discuss the problems with their posts with them.
So is it PB or you who require that people be over 13 years of age? I thought that was kind of strange.

ProBoards require registering an account can only be done so by people over 13 to comply with the COPPA (American law). Really isn't down to individual forums that but guests are something that would allow under 13s to post given you never register an account.

Really? I don't remember any kind of age thing when I made my account? and I don't think my brother needed an age thing for his account either.
Tul Generas of the Orcs, Darthraxx of the dragon Knights. I RP, and have lots of fun.

Age is the least of the former problem! We want LMB Eternal to be a place where fans of all ages can communicate! With guests many other issues were our problems!

Says it in the terms of service. I made my account years ago (2011 maybe 2012) so I don't know what the sign-up process is like currently but the ToS still requires you be 13+.

Great.
This is the internet so we can't tell if you're being sarcastic.
Do I understand correctly to say that LMBE is fully in favor of users under 13 being here as long as they have parental permission?
Yes, that is correct. If they can obtain parental permission, they can have an account made for them by their parent. If not, they can view content, but cannot post as guests have caused us more trouble than good.
