Anyways, Astro, if you want to retire permanently then you have the right to. But by not handing over the admin account to someone else and instead closing the site down, you are fragmenting the community further; We're already scattered across multiple sites that are not entirely aware of each other and now that most people know that they are able to easily make their own site we are having people seeing this and flying off doing just that without realizing the staff are working on a solution. In short, we are trying to rebuild our community from the ground up and you've just gotten in the way of things.
Or maybe summer's been over for the past 8 months and we've just been hanging onto the past for far too long...
I dunno what to say, except that I can totally understand Astrokid's reasons. Best wishes for life, dude.
And goodbye to all my buddies here. Honestly I think now would be a good time for me to retire from the "LMB survivor" scene, rather than trying to transplant myself to another forum.
Maybe we'll all see each other again someday. Maybe.
Honestly, I might do the same because I'm not sure how much more of this I can take. However, I still have an obligation to finish the LMBs archives, so I'll most likely end up getting attached to whatever site replaces this one.
At least this time I'm not really leaving behind anything that was truly meaningful to me.
Since you are a mod, can you please explain when the LMB's Eternal are shutting down? I need to know how much time it is before I can go somewhere else.
As for that fan forum, I do agree you should make one. However, I don't think you can do that yourself. Perhaps make a topic to recruit users.
Astro said he's shutting this place down by this Saturday. I'd request more time but I don't think he'll give it from talking to him. (I think I understand his reasons for feeling hurt and stressed so I don't want to cause him trouble with that.)
I definitely can NOT do it by myself, nor do I want to. XP Plus I want to recruit people before creating it to get feedback as well as help with site code, rules, and domain name. I don't want it to be my site, it's a community effort.
