"Aaand done!" Somewhat dramatically, I completed the last stroke of a blueprint for a project Jay and I were working on. I sat back to admire my work when there was a distinctive knock on the door. Sighing, I shuffled to the doorknob and pulled it open. Lloyd. And he looked troubled.
"Hey, Lloyd, what's up?"
"Oh, hey, I just wanted to talk to you for a sec." He came in and closed the door behind us. "Nice pajamas."
I scoffed. "No 'can I come in' or anything? You're just inviting yourself in?" I asked with a huff. "Is it urgent?"
"Well, I don't know, but Jay told me to come ask you about this," he replied. "He said you had some...experience."
"Two girls, one heart?" I asked, reading his expression.
Lloyd seemed slightly surprised I could tell, but quickly calmed down. "Yes. Hanna and I have been getting closer and all, but that princess is really trying to B&E in my heart."
"Harumi?" I replied. "She lost her parents. I can imagine how hard it's been for her. You recall my parents being captured when Kai and I were little."
"Yeah, you told me," Lloyd said, sitting down. "Here's the thing. Hanna is strong and fierce. She's very powerful. She could do something really bad to Harumi, considering her powers. But the princess has spirit too. I don't want to hurt either of them."
"Lloyd, you're such a nice guy," I admitted. "No wonder they love you so much. And both are so...beautiful. I can see why you like both of them. But...the thing is, you just need to spend time with each of them. See who's really right. Because someone could have different intentions."
"What?" Lloyd's eyes widened, but lowered once more. "I'll try my best, as long as I don't hurt anyone." He smiled, but there was a hint of melancholy in it. He then opened the door to leave.
"Good luck, sweetie," I told him with a smile I hoped to comfort him.
"You too, with that project," Lloyd replied, smiling again, but I could see him turn away, as if in shame or grief, just before he closed the door.

"Lloyd?"
Ouch. Poor Lloyd.
(What's this . . . "B&E"? I'm guessing it's not a bachelor's degree of engineering. )

It means "breaking and entering." Like what some robbers do. Breaking in.
