DUH WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF IT BEFORE? Han Solo and Princess Leia! They're technically Disney characters, and they're parents. What about Anakin “Not just the men” Skywalker and Padme “Truly, deeply” Amidala?

Sorry for the late post to this topic. I've been bogged down with school. Anyways, I've thought about this for a bit, and there are some that stand out that I don't think have been mentioned yet. Belle's father (in both animated and live-action movies) was a very good father who tried to take care of Belle to the best of his ability despite everything that happened to him, and he never stopped trying. Moana's Grandmother (if grandmothers count) also stuck out to me as she believed in Moana and her passion to travel the ocean the entire time that she lived, also despite what Moana's own parents and the rest of the people said about going out on the water. Very good choices. And yes, I think grandparents do count.

We've got some good votes in here! Results will be announced within a few days, so if you haven't voted, please do so now! I'M HE- *trips on step and falls on face* ... *Holds up voting papers* OK! After much contemplating and list-searching, I have finally, yet reluctantly decided. But I'm sure you're pleased to hear I've done so.
Best Disney Father: Marlin - the devotion he shows to his son, the last memory of his wife, is touching, and the fact that he swam across the ocean for him is even more so.
Best Disney Mother: Kanga - she's the living embodiment of motherly care and affection! She's even like a mother to the other members of the Hundred Acre Wood. *gapes with mouth open* Rome are you oka-
*sees voting papers and snatches them eagerly, reading them while helping you up*
Good choices, very nice. Unless we get any more votes, we have both a winner and a runner-up for each category...

Does it have to be from movies? If so, Mr. and Mrs. Diaz from Star Vs The Forces Of Evil or King and Queen Butterfly from the same show. Does Grunkle Stan from Gravity Falls count as a parent? If not, Mufasa and I dunno. I don't think Grunkle Stan counts... He is not a father. Maybe grandfather or uncle but I can't remember.
